Orchard Toys Pirate Race Game

Each turn you roll the dice you move and land on a coloured dot. Choose one of the matching colour carded dots, turn it over and if it matches your playing piece you keep it. Collect all six of your own colour to make your pirate and then race to be the first to the treasure in the middle.My lo insists on playing this game daily, and has roped in anyone who visits the house to play as well. He picked up how to play it very quickly and hasn't grown bored with it either (had it for a couple of months now). I like that it mixes traditional moving around the board with memory. So if I turn over one of the cards and it's his colour I say oh no it's red I need the yellow ones, put it back down and he has to remember where i've placed his card until he lands on that colour and can have it. Would thoroughly recommend and think it really suits his age up to about age 5 or 6.

As with all orchard games, excellent quality and can't be faulted3yo loves this game. It really helps with his counting (counting dots on the dice then counting the spaces) and teaches him to take turns as well as remembering what cards have been turned over and colour recognition. Quite a lot going on for a 3 year old so has more "levels" to it than some other games

Good quality, this range of games from Orchard is great and my grandchildren love them. They are always targeted at the right age group and can be enjoyed by all the family.

This is another great game from Orchard Toys. It was a gift for a pirate loving four year old who is also a big board game fan. It went down really well and has been played with a lot. It's easy to pick up and my three year old was also able to join in with some adult support.

This has been played with over and over again! Two children of 3 and 7 still get their parents and friends to play with them and get a lot of fun from it.

Bought for our grandson for Easter (he gets too many eggs), and he loves the game, we have all played it with him and is definitely one of his favourites, along with the shopping game.
