One of the best legume books I've ever had (veggie cook for years).
Great book of knowledge and recipes. A very good way to reduce meat consumption in favour of sustainable protein sources. There are meat dishes in here but easily adaptable to pure veggie if that's what you want.

Perfect
I’m just getting into pulses etc and have been using tins/packets for recipes. This book is perfect for me as a beginner - explaining the basics with some lovely recipes 🤗

good recipes but a couple of errors
I have enjoyed cooking from this book. I have to say that it was not new ..it even had a post-it note on one page and some stains/marks but as it was for me it was not an issue. If it had been a gift it would have ad to go back. So far the recipes have generally cooked well however I have found a couple of errors in quantity - 4 cups of water id one should have been 1-2 as it turned a Dahl into a watery soup!! The instructions are clear and easy to follow.so overall I would recommend if u like lentils as I do.

Just about every recipe in there I would actually like to cook
I have a lot of cookbooks, but this one has rapidly become one of my favourites, and I've only had it a few weeks! Just about every recipe in there I would actually like to cook. None of them are fussy or difficult or require ingredients that are difficult to get. What I've cooked from it so far has been delicious. I find a really great bonus is that the kcals are given with every recipe, so if I want to watch the calories I can! The photos look very tempting, too. I'm really glad I bought this, and I find it rarely finds its way back up onto the shelf.

WELL WRITTEN WORTH THE PRICE
I received my copy today and started reading, I was genuinely impressed with the introduction followed by the first chapter on Lentils and the varieties with an explanation of each main type. Little side notes that include (Puy Lentils braised in wine with herbs). A chapter on cooking before going into the recipe section which is divided into various sections. I will definitely be using this Lentil Gem regularly with its 75 recipes.*****

A great range of recipes. for any discerning healthy eating cook
A great addition to my kitchen & range of cooking. Lentils are highly underrated as a health food and low in carbohydrates. This book is useful for anyone looking for healthy alternatives and so easy to cook if you have a pressure cooker no overnight soaking for hours. I can prepare and cook. Lentils ready to eat in under an hour. A great range of recipes here.

Nice pictures decent recipes
Lovely quality book, paper and photos. Recipes, for example lentil salads, lack range, very similar. Lentils with some onions stirred in with some herbs and tinned beans type things; all fine but nothing exciting. P79 the instructions omit a key ingredient. That’s the only mistake I’ve spotted but I haven’t finished the book yet.
