Flies very nicely
Easy to fly. Great for small areas. It will get off the ground in about 2 feet using full throttle. Very stable. Has very nice glide and slow flight characteristics. I like to take it up to about 150 feet and shut the throttle off and let it glide down. It will also do nice aerobatics. Inside and outside loops are not a problem. Rolls are very nice. I can do cuban 8's with mine no problem. No problem binding to my Spektrum NX10 transmitter. I get 5 minute flights with Spektrum 3S 300mah batteries. Could be used as trainer for a beginner. Avoid windy weather. Update: Ths plane is a blast to fly and I've crashed 3 of them because I like to do crazy things. With 3S lipo it has amazing performance and I take it off crosswise from a 3 foot wide picnic bench. On the last one I noticed that the rudder servo froze but luckly in the straight position but I use the rudder a lot when I fly so I wasn't able to do the things like to do. Keep in mind that it's a cheap airplane and things won't last forever. But as I noted previously, it can be docile enough to be a good trainer.

I'm tempted to buy another one. Fun, good price point with excellent quality in a foamy UMX size.
A great first plane, or just a good plane if you like the size. I already had an e-Flite radio so I didn't buy the Ready To Fly. The instructions to setup the radio were easy to find and follow, no need if you buy the RTF. Anything smaller than a UMX sized plane is hard to see at any distance. No surprise bigger is easier to see. While I recommend a month or 2 on a simulator, e-Flite's Safe Mode will help you avoid hard crashes. Use Safe for recovery, take offs and landings only. You will never become a decent pilot flying in Safe. Be ready when you flip the switch, there is a big difference so use a very light touch. Flying in even a light breeze requires you to pay attention because the plane crawls in one direction and zips right along in the other. If you found a Turbo Timber East of Wyoming, it's mine. This is a good quality plane with outstanding value. You get what you pay for. Parts, after my 2.1-meter Carbon Cub crashed, were as much as this entire plane new. And I already had foam safe glue. I miss my Timber.

Don't Waste Your Money
First flight was great. Second flight, all the onboard electronics died. Manufacturer acknowledged the problem but refuses to fix b/c their "warranty" expires on the day you purchase the plane. Absolute garbage. Read the fine print.

Great next step plane
I went from one of the cheap leve 1 trainer planes to this. If you have little experience make sure you know what your doing, what all the controlls do and make adjustments to the plane before you fly it and know where the safe mode switch is on your controller most importantly! . I took it off same mode my first flight and dive bombed it and broke it in half. Luckily I was able to glue it back together and get advice from some one with experience and it flies great now. super easy to land it will glide down with ease even if your using zero throttle

TOUGH UMX TURBO TIMBER EVOLUTION!
Here she is! My first Horizon plane....a UMX Turbo Timber Evo! I've crashed her so many times I've lost count....more than a dozen times for sure. It sucks crashing but it will happen. How you pick up the pieces and start over is key to this very cool hobby. After the 3rd or 4th crash I found that putting my plane back together was half the fun. You must experience the joy of getting your baby back in the air....2 hours to after you rip the front end off, leaving it dangling by the motor and landing lights! Why did this tough sell kind of person give my TTE 5 stars? Fortitude. I would have never believed this 5oz of foam could be so tough! Allow me to define "Crash". She's been swimming twice....neither time with floats...once she got wet upright....the 2nd time she flipped(canals each occasion )The last engine dangler was when....the clevis holding my elevator detached....and she dove 60ft onto concrete....yes it was my fault. I've sheared the wings off....broken my rudder rod....and snapped the fuselage at the narrow in front of the tail.... Yet, she still flys! And with each yard sale I got better and better with the Gorilla Glue.....and my inner voice now calls me "Sparky"!!. The motor is bullet proof....impact after impact folks....it runs like a Rolex! The engine mount behind the motor melted....and I had to remove and realign and reinstall the motor w/o issue. I have added 2 UMX P51, a Micro Draco, another UMX Timber and a Night Timber X Evo to my RC Hanger! Yes....I've got it bad! As a final word of advice....see in the photo of the aftermarket STROBE....best $15.... this new rc owner could spend. Super bright EVEN IN BRIGHT BE SUN. I fly at dusk with one of these.....try it! Peace!

Best RC plane of its type!!! 👍🏻
Flies great! Handles gusts up to 15 mph On a 3S battery ! Turn on the safe for a beginner’s flight or turn it off for a pro’s flight! Does stunts like a much bigger plane.Flies on multiple transmitters! Wondering what plane to get next? Get one of these today! (The only downside is that it isn’t extremely durable but that is no problem if you land gently on grass, gravel, or pavement.)

Flys great with lots of blemishes
What a fun plane-I never thought to buy a timber plane but wanted something to fly out front -sadly mine came with all kinds of factory digs and finger nail blemishes-prop blades not true -yet flys great -the umx planes are like a Pringles potato chip with a motor -very fragile -

Pretty good little plane
Overall, this plane is a good buy. Its quite reliable and is relaxing to fly. . Its ease of use, stability, and portability make it a great value for the price. Advanced flyers might find it too basic, but for beginners and casual enthusiasts, it’s hard to beat. It fluctuates in price, so if you catch it when the price is good, get it!

Consiglio vivamente. Estremamente divertente.

I absolutely love this plane… can fly slow and easy, or fast and hard. It can take a beating, too. I have put it through trees, slammed it into pavement, sheds, fences… I’ve knocked the entire front end off, I’ve broke it in half in three different places, and I just throw and little foam glue on it and it’s good to go. It isn’t pretty at this point but it still flys like it always has. I even put a little 1s battery and a small analog camera on Velcro on top and fly FPV with it through trees and neighbors yards.
