Stainless Steel Garden Hose Reel 100' 5/8“ Capacity with 5' Inlet Hose Washer Pack

I love this reel. I always wait to review items until I've had a chance to put them through their paces (Like the usb cables I got that turned out to be junk after a few weeks despite loving them at first) This one I've been using for a couple months now. I searched for stainless steel reel because our old plastic reel broke and fell to pieces despite being an expensive one from Lowe's. And refuse to get plain steel for anything that stays in the weather. Other reviews are saying this is to small for a 100 foot hose. I completely disagree. Here I have a 75 foot hose and as you can see there is plenty of room for more wraps if you put on a 100 foot hose. It may get close to the "handle" but if you are actually planning to try lugging around a reel of 100 foot hose perhaps your back pain would be better served with a wheeled cart version. I looked at these to solely because I wanted something solid but didn't want to compromise on my goal of stainless steel. So I took the chance on this one and has been well worth it.And if you are concerned about the strange fittings. Don't be. They are apparently a pretty common quick connect fitting similar to air fittings. And I've gotten so hooked on them I've converted my pressure washer and spray nozzles all to use these quick connects and I can't go back. No more fighting threads and hoping you can get it hand tight enough so you don't have to go back and get a set of pliers. Zero leaks out of this whole set up. I did use silicone faucet grease on all the rubber o rings to try and make sure of leaks but I don't think it's 100% necessary unless your a OCD nut like me.Only thing I would suggest to the manufacturer to improve the product would be to make the stainless round sides to the reel thicker and heavier duty. They flex and move quite a bit and being thicker would definitely make it feel much higher quality. Would be well worth paying an extra 20 to 25 dollars for heavy duty product that will last for years rather than save a few bucks now and not last as long.

I wish there was more information and pictures describing the product before purchasing and comparing alternatives, but been very satisfied. There is no comparison, real metal is much better than plastic hose reels. Stainless is a nice look. It does come with a short hose (mine was blue) and the hose connector is straight, not 90 degrees like some others. Brackets are designed to hang on wall. Made in China.

This is a nicely built steel hose reel. But the little nozzle that allows you to connect the hose to the reel was missing from mine. I had to spend $16.78 to find that connector at the hardware store. I did notice when rewinding the hose onto the reel that the steel handle tended to distort because of the friction. The handle bends and the strength needed to wind in the hose is beyond belief. This is sub-standard and unacceptable.

Pretty well made reel. Only thing that I found was that is has an issue with my 100' hose being able to roll all the way up. Maybe mine was thicker than another hose. It did leave about 5'-10' not able to roll up. If I could get it all in, it was a pain to un-reel.

CUT MY HAND SEVERAL TIMES ON THE HANDLE . THE HANDLE IS ENTIRELY TO SMALL TO PULL A 75 FOOT HOSE.
