The f38 hi-fi stereo headphones by Incipio are a new standard in the world of high fidelity audio. Its classic styling pays homage to a simpler time where clean design is paired with superb sound. The f38 is powered by a 38 mm driver unit, the product's namesake and is the source of the bass rich, full spectrum sound that is the hallmark of the headphones.

Acceptable Build Quality + Exceptional Sound Quality = Incipio f38.
Just an update on this: After more than a year of very rough and careless use, the audio now only comes through one ear. I got mine used to begin with, so considering the almost-disposable price tag, I'm not really bothered by it. I replaced them with a portable Meelectronics pair that costs twice as much and got great reviews. After about a month of relatively bloated bass and inferior instrument separation, I gifted them to my girlfriend and bought another pair of these. It's nice to hear my music again. I will get another (3rd) pair when these break.--------I'm a frugal audiophile. I put a lot of time into researching the best value per dollar audio experience I can get. At $60, I would call these a decent value. At $40 or below, don't hesitate to purchase if you like to actually HEAR your music.I bought these used, so there was no burn in required.Sound:Tight BassForward MidsSparkling HighsMost of my headphones prior to this have been IEMs, with the exception of a pair of Creative Aurvana Live Headphones. The creative 'phones are a less expensive re-branding of DENON's AH-D1001, THEMSELVES known for already being a great deal. These headphones are also a less expensive re-branding, this time of Fischer Audio's FA-004. Look up reviews for that headphone if you want an audiophile's description of the sound. I'll simply be giving my humble opinion:Money completed aside, this pair of headphones is every bit as good as my Creatives. Although the Creatives give a deeper bass punch and overall is fairly "U" shaped, this pair is more even. The highs are also much more sparkly (ALMOST sibilant) and defined to my ears. The Incipio has plenty of bass, but it's controlled, and not the least bit boomy or muddy. The true benefit of the Incipio comes in the really exceptional soundstage. These headphones are incredibly open. Particularly with drums, you can really get a feel for where the mic's where positioned in the room. Instrument separation is also the best I've ever heard. These phones make it very easy to pick out a baseline, even in heavier and distorted sections.Fit/Build Quality:My only complaint is that I wish the cups were a LITTLE bigger, just a few millimeters. These go on very comfortable, but end up pushing my ear lobe against my head. The clamping force isn't hard, but it can make your outer ear hurt after an hour+ of listening. I NEVER had this problem with my Creatives. The metal mechanism keeping the cups on is solid, but the plush padding on the headband does not inspire confidence. On the plus side, the wire that goes through the headband is woven rather than rubber, which I like. The cabling is fairly thick and the strain relief looks good. Unless you REALLY force it, or are rough with your headphone jacks, I don't imagine these breaking too easily.Other main benefit of these over the Creative? They look damn good. Small profile, and the ear cups don't stick out so much that they make you look like Dumbo.Overall, these come highly recommended. Accurate response, good looks, impulse-buy price. Get 'em while they're hot.

Good for the price range
I bought these mainly because they were cheap and looked pretty cool. They are light and very comfortable to wear for long periods of time (minus the warmth and eventual sweat). They encapsulate my entire ear...but barely. If you have Dumbo ears, you best look elsewhere. I think it can accommodate most adult head sizes. The pouch is, as many others have said, useless. It sheds and the dye rubs off on everything.Sound quality is good for the price point. It didn't wow me, but I am more than satisfied for the price. Bass is there but more on the neutral side. The cable is about 4' long and is thick enough to isolate scraping sounds when you rub the cable. These headphones don't claim to isolate outside sounds and they definitely don't. It reduces outside noise to some extent but expect to crank the volume up to dangerous levels in excessively noisy environments (and then you're sharing your tunes with everyone nearby).Overall, a good buy if you're in the market for sub $50 headphones. Comfy, good sound, and good looking.

Best budget heatphones!
I'm the type of person who researches a lot before buying things, even headphones. I wanted a set of cheap but good headphones to throw in my backpack and use when studying. I looked up comparisons on many "audiophile" sites, and this incipio and a few more were constantly mentioned as the best budget cans. I finally decided on the incipio bc of it's supposed balance throughout the range high-low. I was not disappointed! These things have some pretty good bass, but the mids, and especially the highs, are incredible. After breaking them in for a few months, I can say that they are sounding even better. I HIGHLY recommend these to anyone who wants good headphones. These will keep up with anything under $100. guaranteed. While these are great, one thing that bothers me is the ear muffs. They insulate pretty well, in fact a little too well. If you have them on for 30min-1hr, expect your ears to get slightly hot bc there is no ventilation. But for the price I paid, I can live with that.

Uncomfortable headphones that are severely lacking in bass.
I bought these headphones as an upgrade to my aging Sennheiser HD 202 IIs, but they are anything but an upgrade.Where these headphones really excel is in the design. These cans are VERY nice to look at, and are built pretty well too! When it comes to the sound quality they sound fine too.Where these over-ears really lose their luster for me is in their fit, and lack of power. These cans are designed with bigger heads in mind, and due to the arch they dig into your ear lobes and never fully encase your ear, which must lead to their lack of power. Even when pressed to my head I found the bass to be quite empty and just extremely underwhelming. I bought these to listen to electronic and pop music so bass is quite important. For $28 they're good enough headphones, with a pretty sleek design, but their fit and fullness of audio was just completely lacking and underwhelming.

Good sound, bad headphones.
Although the price is good for the sound quality, these earphones are leaky enough to be speakers, completely negating the point of having headphones.Unless you don't care about your music leaking out wherever you're using them these are a bad investment.
