Gold Bar Coin Bank: Store Your Loose Change

First off the first one I ordered arrived in a small cardboard box inside bubble wrap and was just regular painted ceramic. Barely could make out the letters on the "gold bar."Obviously a knock off. So I sent that back right away and was quite upset that I took a chance and went with a company on here that wasn't certified by amazon. So I had to pay about 6 dollars to send it back for something that cost about 12 dollars. So beware of ones you get that are just painted ceramic, you should be able to tell the difference by the poor craftsmanship.Onto the review:So I got this cause I was tired of having no place to put my change except lay it on a desk and have it pile up. I wanted a piggy bank. I looked all over to try to find a cool/nice looking one. There were 1-2 that looked cool but are no longer made (Such as the radio shack yellow robot one). Others that sort money are WAY to expensive. When I searched through page after page of "piggy banks" I came across this one and I really liked the look of it from the pictures and everything.Pros:1. It's plastic not ceramic so you wont have to worry about it shattering into a million pieces if you or someone else drops it.2. It is gold! (well it looks like gold, its not real gold but hey who cares it still looks cool)3. It has nice lettering on it that makes it look more realistic4. The hole/coin slot on it fits about 3cm (little over 1 inch) wide of a coin. So quarters and smaller ones fit easily.5. It's pretty big so you can fit lots of coins in it (could also be a con for some of you).Cons:1. It is very shiny/reflective gold metallic looking paint. Even had a clear sticker on top when I got it in a box to protect it so you might have to be careful when handling or if you drop it, it could get scratched up easily2. It takes up a bit of space on your desk/table so you may not have enough space for it depending on your situation. (Could also be a Pro for those who want to fit lots of coins in it).3. The cork is pretty difficult to pull out. It overlaps on the inside and out and its a type of rubber/plastic. It took me a while to pull it out so I could get at the coins I put in. Though this could also be a Pro for those who don't want their money taken out so easily (but someone could easily just take the whole gold bar piggy bank with them to steal your change).All in all I really like this piggy bank. It is about as close to the one I want to store my left over change. Just be careful of people trying to sell you knock off ones that are ceramic.

Very cool. Reasonably thick plastic body with coin slot and writing on top, and an access slot with a plug on the bottom. The bottom also has soft rubber feet which conceal screws, which presumably allow one to remove the bottom for better access to the inside.I filled mine nickels for weight to use as a prop, and it feels heavy and solid in one's hand.Nicely made and finished. A great coin bank. All kind of uses for this!

While the size and shape of this is great, you cannot begin to read any of the lettering. It is so faintly stamped into the metal that it's not readable.

My son bought this for his Papa for Christmas to keep his change in. It's just a small bank, but really cute! The gold finish is nice and shiny.

The one that we received is made of ceramic. Not exactly what we were wanting for our four year old son. But the quality is nice.

I also received a knock off. Not the Kito Design bar as advertised. Blurry lettering, slit to insert coins is in the middle instead of to one side and is crooked. No non-slip bottom. Seller offers a return only if you pay to ship it back to Germany.
