Nice little camera.
I'm just getting started with this, but I love the fact that it is plug and play on the Mac. I bought it for raspberry pi, but testing things from the Mac is sometimes more convenient. You just plug the camera in and quick time and photo booth are ready to go. Raspberry pi was almost as fast. But you don't use the rpicamera utilities, since it is a usb camera. You use v412-ctl.One downside is the usb connector is usb-a. So you'll probably need a hub/adaptorI have tested it with both and it is working with both.

USB camera module with good M12 lens
I’ve been trusting Arducam for a few years to provide good optical imaging equipment that won’t break the bank. This USB camera module is no exception. The product photos represent the situation well. I’ll cover some things that aren’t self-evident from the listing.Mounting: The outer holes (34mm spacing) are too small for M3 screws but will take M2.5 or #4-40 UNC. The outer rim of the board can be broken off if you want to make a smaller one. The inner holes (28mm spacing) are almost compatible with the many Raspberry Pi boards out there, which typically use M3 screws. The holes on the Arducam B0385 will take a M3 screw very tightly - they will probably self-thread as you put the screw in.Lens mount: screw holes are 18mm apart. It comes with a plastic mount that is a tight fit on most of my lenses.Lens: the provided lens has a 70 degree field of view, probably about 4mm focal length and with not much optical distortion. Its field of view is comparable to the 3.6mm 60 degree lens in Arducam’s LK001, but without the fisheye look.Since it’s a UVC camera you won’t need any drivers. I was able to plug in and get started quickly. The included USB cable is 1 meter long, USB-A on one end and what looks like a 4-pin JST ZR connector on the other. The back of the board needs 8mm clearance for the USB connector and wires.
