Fertilome (10767) Centipede Lawn Fertilizer 15-0-15 (20 lbs.)

I have been trying to fill spots damaged due to snow and declining grass for the last 5 years. I really wish I had found this fertilizer back then. I have tried some recommended by the local nurseries and tried staying away from the big brands as they don't seem to be friendly to Centipede grass. I live in the transition area in North Alabama and the winters can have a bad effect it based on the type of winter. I applied this fertilizer in May based on instructions - grass was already coming alive. The results have been amazing and encouraging in every way. I am purchasing more for the second application. Next year I'll use their feed-weed mix. In my area only True Green "claims" to handle Centipede grass, EXCEPT... They do not. They treat all of their customers patios with he same mix and there is no such thing as an individual plan for each type of grass. Result was they applied weed killer to my lawn in March while the centipede was dormant. Although specifically stated in my profile to wait until customer called for first application, they destroyed it and never looked back. Several attempts to get them to fix it resulted on them blaming centipede on being hard to work-with and blamed the severe damage on "Declining Grass". All other Lawn companies in the area refuse to even work with Centipede.

Just follow instructions of how much to use and when, only for centipede.

I can only assume this fertilizer has the claimed nutrients in it. I had my soil tested and it said I needed 15-0-15 so I went with this based on the reviews and price. Based on the size of my lawn, 2 bags would be exactly enough so that's what I got. The only issue I had with it was with applying it. It did not go through my broadcast spreader very well. It was set to the proper setting, but it was barely coming out. I ended up having to go over my entire lawn 2+ times to get it all spread to the correct amount. It seemed like the issue might have been that there were some larger chunks of fertilizer that were partially clogging the hole in the spreader that controls the application rate. There were some chunks the size of pebbles that wouldn't go through the hole and the fertilizer in general is the size of peppercorns. I ended up having to go way higher on the application rate on the spreader than I should have just to get anything at all to go through the spreader. I just based my application amount on the square footage of my lawn.

This fertilizer is FANTASTIC! Works GREAT and I would highly recommend it!

Applied to zoysia’s lighter green sections of the lawn it turned the areas a darker green. Definitely want to put over entire lawn. Works fast can’t wait until next season.

Highly recommended by master gardener in my state. This is my 2nd year to purchase. Great to use on St Augustine lawn.
