**UPDATE**Like someone else commented on here, the suction cup failed after a year rendering the cam useless.Fortunately, I had spent a few dollars for an Asurian warranty so am sending the camera in for replacement or refund.This dash cam is very easy to suction to the windshield and remove to put up the sun shield. I don't want to leave it on the windshield in the South Florida sun/heat so take it down when not in use. Once it is suctioned to the windshield it stays firmly in place. It's very easy to tilt or turn the camera to make sure it's pointing exactly where I want it.I can only assume the recordings are being saved since I've not checked that, but the cam powers on and shows a red light to say it's recording. The picture is very clear and has a nice wide angle across the front.I'm not using the rear cam because my back window is tinted so I don't think it will work well and I don't want to drill holes to mount it outside the car. But I didn't buy it for the rear camera anyway.So far I am very happy with this dash cam and rate it 5 stars.

Works great

The cam works fine but the suction cap broke within a year and it became no longer attachable. There is a flaw in the suction as everyone is suffering the same thing. They told me to buy a new suction which cost me extra.

I liked it when I first installed it but I’ve had it for months now and I have a few complaints. Don’t love that it’s not continuous recording. Not sure why I thought it would be but it’s in short clips instead. Tried to install the rear camera and the instructions were not very clear so I gave up. Also, the date does not stay accurate no matter how many times you try and fix it which could potentially be an issue if the footage is ever needed for evidence which is, in my opinion, a HUGE deal. I’m not willing to go in and adjust the date every time I start my car. Picture quality is fine though it doesn’t pick up plates very well and is mediocre at night. Get what you pay for I guess!

for the price you cant beat it. i bought a arifayz dash cam literally a couple days ago (some other brand on amazon) and i disliked it because the camera had no screen and on top of that it required me to connect to their own wifi which rendered the rest of the apps on my phone useless. this camera is far superior in every way. better quality, waay easier operation, and most of all its plug and play. you turn your car on, and the camera turns on. you turn your car off, the camera turns off, unlike the arifayz cam where i had to connect to THEIR internet, go back to the app on my phone and press record (you have to do this every time you start your car)

Nice camera...when it works. I had to return 2 already (using the purchased insurance plan) because one stopped allowing me to access the Menu options. The other one "ate" the microSD card. There is a gap where the card goes into, and when I inserted the card, it actually when into the gap and could not be removed. Poor design. The rubber suction cup does not hold well either. I would not buy again.

A month ago our van was totalled by a distracted driver that ran a red light 10 seconds after it had turned red and ours green. The police and insurance companies were very thankful to have clear video footage to prove the other driver was at fault. We've told everyone they need this camera in their car! We've bought another for our 2nd car as well. Necessary car accessory!
