You won't be dissapointed
After purchasing a couple of noisy, low-quality DI boxes from Pyle, I decided that I was working against myself. I purchased this DI box from Radial and I am blown away by the sound quality and solid construction. It really is a night and day difference between this and the cheaper options. Buy it!

Excellent DI
Exactly as Radial describes, the guts of a J48 without all the bells and whistles. Means great durability and sound quality for an even better price. These are now my go-to DI for stage applications. The pad makes it workable with active preamps and line level instruments so there is no active/passive question to worry about. To the 1&2star reviews. Active DI’s require phantom and these do not take batteries. That could make it appear to be DOA if you don’t know what you’re doing. Phantom also spotlights crappy cables. You’ll get crackling and popping with an intermittent phantom power connection. I use these with good quality connectors and I seriously doubt one would make it out of the factory with a bum XLR jack causing a loose connection. The description of the problem sounds like you’re using a cheap and/or abused cable that needs replacing.

Excellent active DI works great on acoustic pickup instruments
I use these Radial PRO48 DIs on acoustic guitars, violins, cellos that have pickups. They also work just as well on instruments that don’t require an active DI, like keyboards.

Perfect for acoustic guitar
This item sits perfectly with my acoustic guitars. Very clear and crisp signal. I wish I could buy 3 more for the shelf.

One of the standard pieces of audio gear every engineer should own. I do not personally use this in the studio (don't have any reason to) but live this unit sounds great for DI from an acoustic guitar or other low-output instrument. I wouldn't use this for an active instrument like keyboards or line-out on a bass amp, I would use the Radial Passive DI box for that.Radial DI boxes are great, really good quality and built like tanks. I do not worry about them breaking while on the road. They also sound good enough to be used in a studio with some good pres.

Get it won’t be disappointed!
The media could not be loaded. I got this for my church because a lot of bass players who comes has passive guitars and we were gaining up way to high raising the noise floor. I wanted the Radial J48, but was a bit out of the budget and this bad boy sounds good. Broadcast Mix on a M32R.
