Great device that I would replace immediately if destroyed, lost, or stolen
I'm giving this 5 stars even though there are weak spots, because the pro's far outweigh the cons.+ Pros- Comes with a ton of great retro games- Vertical ergos are best for me- Screen looks great- Size and shape are perfect middleground of big enough, but still really portable- Extra SD slot for loading your own ROMs- Wifi- Great out-of-the-box experience- Reasonably durable (I travel with it all the time)+ Cons- Screen will break if dropped on hard surface (I'm on my second one because of this, but it should tell you something that I immediately bought another)- Doesn't 'sleep' (screen turns off, but battery still draining)

Absolute buy this!
As a retro handheld this has so much potential. I did use the stock mini SD for a few days but realized that it comes with the card that will eventually brick(stop functioning). Seek out those who creat SD cards specially for certain models of Anbernic. The build quality is amazing, truly for the price it’s unbelievable for how low priced this is. The battery life depends on what system emulator you are running. NES you can get 5-6hrs of battery. N64 about 3-4 hours.Definitely learn all of your “function” short cuts. That is very important to saving slots of where you wanna go back to in games.I highly recommend this to those who wanna build a solid handheld retro for under $100, $60 for the system, $40 for a solid configured/ loaded microSD.

So much fun!
This thing has so many games! It has games from psp to ds, and such a variety! Games I recognized included Castlevania, Pokemon, Tekken, Animal Crossing and Spiderman. The console itself is about the size of a phone. It fits in a purse very well, so now it's my purse console. The buttons all react well and it's easy to reach the actual buttons. The d pads are very awkward to use, but are also unnecessary for most functions, I've successfully avoided using them so far.The first console I got had an issue with the battery- it wouldn't charge. The exchange process was super easy and the new console I was sent doesn't have any issues. The battery life is pretty good, but it will run out if you don't power it off when you're not playing.Great little console with some great games from hard to get consoles. The sheer number is impressive, as are the quality of games that it has. It's small but mighty and I'm excited to play more.

You'll need a new SD card.
Mine bricked up after turning on once. Turns out the SD card that comes with is garbage. You will also have to reflash OS, and add games and roms if your SD card wipes itself. Which mine did after booting once. All in all, cool once working, just a lot of unexpected work to get there.

Well worth it
The build quality is probably one of the best build in an electronic device I've seen in some time. If you like Retro gaming up to the Dreamcast this works well. It has some minor quirks, but the quirks are nothing you can't work around. I would recommend changing the firmware to allow for more functionality, but even with the stock firmware it plays the games as expected.

Stopped working
Worked for only a short time. Worked for a few months then stopped turning on. It is stuck on the logo screen and won't do anything else. Many have complained in forums about the SD cards. Wouldn't buy this again. Not worth it since it didn't even last a year. Some games to play were good but others weren't copied over correctly and had glitches.

Was a nifty device until it stopped working
I work a full-time job, a part-time job, and I am a full-time student. I do not have a lot of time to play video games, so I decided to pick up this handheld. When it first booted up, I was excited to see all of the games from my childhood staring back at me. I played for about 3 hours on the first day before putting down the handheld. The device sat unbothered on my office desk for around 3 weeks before I decided to pick it up and play again; however, the device no longer turned on. The green light indicator was there, but the screen was black. After several seconds looking at the black screen it would flash “Game Over” before going back to a forever black screen. Thankfully, I was able to return the device and get my money back (all but an odd restocking fee for a broken device).I have read countless reviews of these handhelds and found that there are many who share the experience that I had, but I also found many who never had an issue. I happened to be one of the unlucky ones it would appear.
