Pretty great for the price
We had a little bit of a quality control issue when it came to missing pieces on our original order. The company was wonderful about taking care of us. So now that I have a complete set I can write a review! I'll start by saying I AM NOT using this as a white board. We strictly bought this for the magnetic aspect of it. The magnets are strong and they stick perfectly to the board. My daughter is enjoying practicing her math and spelling during the summer months. The magnets are foam on the top so I don't know how durable they'll be in the long run, but for the price I'm totally fine with it. The board is great and folds flat when not in use then uses magnets to prop up when you'r ready to use. It stays upright and isn't wobbly at all. Worth the buy!

You can't go wrong with this the learning and fun just keeps going and going.
I got this as a birthday gift for my three year old granddaughter . The size is perfect and takes up very little space , just fold it and store it. No more magnets in the kitchen under foot . The magnets are made of a strongfoam so if you step in them there's no pain !. And I don't have to worry about the magnets falling out and being swallowed. The letter and numbers are nice bright primary colors for learning , and have a nice simple design on them. Plus the dry erase markers are great learning to write and just fun drawing and doodling . Everything washes up just fine .

Worth the purchase!
My son is 4 and struggles with recognition of letters. Star Right magnetic letters has been a wonderful addition to our learning tools. It has both upper and lowercase! My only complaint with the letters is the upper case I, which is taught crossedat the top and bottom, and the lower case a, which kids are taught to write differently. I understand that it is what is taught electronically, but not composed on paper

it is okay
The magnetic letters are great other then because of the bags they were stuffed in some are warped. The worst part of this is the the white covering on this is warped right out of the box and the back side is not but the letters will NOT stick to the back side.Regardless my child loves it!

Nice educational tool
The media could not be loaded. We bought this set as a learning aid for our two-year-old son. We wanted him to teach the alphabets without using the tablets or television. Our son grew very fond of this set now. Initially, we took out all of the capital/upper-case letters but we soon realized that we would have hard-time of tracking each letter, so we have a couple of letters only out at this moment. Our son has fun-time trying to put the letters on the board. The letters have a black adhesive magnetic sheet on one side. I had initially thought that my son would get flustered by not being able to put the letters on the board (because the letters are magnetic only on one side) but he doesn't seem to mind that. Also, he seems to enjoy scribbling on the board with the erasable markers we had.The print on the letters is colorful and more than one occasion he has gone to bed holding these letters in his hand.Since this set is supposed to be for kids with ages 4 and above, we always monitor our son when he is playing with it. It seems that small letters might be a choking hazard for the children, but the letters are not that small that we would be too much worried about them.FEATURES1. MARKER BOARD: The board seems like a standard magnetic marker board. Board seems to have a ferromagnetic layer which makes the magnetic objects stick to it. However, this board is a lot thinner than the standard magnetic marker board you would see in a classroom or meeting rooms (which are usually made of Formica). This board feels like a cardboard with a thin laminated film on all sides including inside and on the bottom as well. Since the laminated film is everywhere, you can write anywhere without worrying that it might not come off.Folding the board is easy. At the bottom of the board, there are two flaps. One short one and another long one. Make sure that the long flaps rest on top of the short one since short flap has two magnetic discs that attach to the bottom of the long flap. This provides a little bit of stability for the board as it won't fall open by slight nudges. There are no hinges. at the joints. They appear to be different pieces of the board held together by the laminated paper.2. MAGNETIC BOARD: The marker board is also coated with some ferromagnetic material on the front and back sides. The bottom and the inside of the board is not magnetic (which is not a big deal for me.) I did not find any issues sticking the letters on the board if you had written on the board (which shouldn't be surprising)3.LETTERS: This set comes with three packs of letters. One pack has the upper-case/Capital alphabets. The second pack has alphabets in lower-case/small letters. The third pack contains numbers and symbols. Letters have a magnetic back layer, so you can stick the letters on other ferromagnetic surfaces as well such as the refrigerator.Letters are made of foam so they are soft and pose a very little risk of harming the children. The print on them is colorful as well.WHAT WE LOVED ABOUT THIS SET1. The educational value of this board set was really the main reason we bought this. I love the fact that unlike the apps or videos, this board set is more personal and gives me the opportunity to interact with my son while having fun and making him learn something at the same time. Though my son like to put the letters on the board, both of us have fun when both of us have a marker and make squiggles on the board.2. The colors and print of the letters are really nice looking.3. The letters work fine on other metallic surfaces as well.4. There are no sharp edges on the letters, and since they are made of foam we feel a little comfortable in our son playing with them.WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW BEFORE BUYING THIS1. One thing we found was that the pieces could be easy to misplace. There are no spares in the set. So if that stray "I" manages to escape, you might not be able to find it easily. Even though one side of the letters is colorful, the other side is black which may make it difficult to find them if they fall into some dark corner. Though you can order letters only from Star Right Magnetic Letters and Numbers - 104 Educational Alphabet Refrigerator Magnets for Vocabulary, Sentence Building and Math Skills Includes Uppercase, Lowercase and Math Symbols 2. Height is not too big. The board is probably good for two or three persons only. This might not be a very good set for teaching a group of kids (like in a classroom.)3. The board is mainly made of cardboard, so this can be easily bent or broken if your kid is like mine and likes to scale this small mountain of cardboard.4, One thing I wish this set had is a laminated film over the letters. Since we are using markers on the board and the foam letters easily pickup some stray strokes of the marker. If the letters had a thin platic film over them, then it would have been lot easier to remove those marks.

Great magnetic board!
My grandson (3 1/2) plays with it all the time. One of the few things I have purchased that he actually plays with almost every day. In addition to the numbers and letters that came with it he used additional magnetic items as well. He loves to pretend he is at preschool and used it like the teacher. It is very sturdy and he used it at the kitchen table all the time. Highly recommend.

Really simple and nice set
It is refreshing to see that we can still buy items like this one that do not require battery charging or battery at all. We live in a total digital world and I just hate to see children under 10 years old, with smart devices/phones in their hands. This old fashioned board provides a connection to your children, quality time that is much needed nowadays.

A Perfect Tool for Little Hands
The letters and numbers are the perfect size for those little hands. I am a retired educator taking care of my baby granddaughter. She likes the board and looks for the board with colorful letters and numbers every morning she comes to us. It is easy to use and compact enough to place in any corner of the home.
