A delight to the senses
I love these headphones so much. I'm not a sound engineer or anything similar but I do listen to a lot of music and the sound from these HD280's is just beautiful. They are monitoring headphones meant for the studio of course - nevertheless I like the 'neutral' sound they produce.I have these on for hours most days and they remain very comfortable indeed - the soft cups really are almost unnoticeable after a while. I have had my pair for 6 years now and after heavy use they have aged very well (other than wearing of the headband and the cup covers - as to be expected) and they are very durable. Then again I take extra care of my stuff..Anyhow, these headphones are fantastic value and I would highly recommend them. Just remember they are monitoring phones so if youplan to use them for music or other they might sound to neutral for some..

Superb!
These headphones are primarily geared for studio work - the bass is tight and fast, midband rich, and treble very clear and precise. And - they'll go REALLY loud. The sound is as good as the recording (in other words, IF the recording is good, the sound will amaze you - but the headphones will not mask any imperfections of the recording!).I got them only yesterday, so can't comment on the durability - but they seem very solid - go ahead, drop them on the floor! I can say, however, that I found them comfortable even after several hours of non-stop listening. They also block the unwanted noise (including my noisy colleagues at work) very effectively. In short, a great buy - I am sure there are lighter and cheaper headphones out there, but I wouldn't bother - in my (rather extensive experience), this is a superb buy.

Fantastic sound and clarity.
Overall these are fantastic headphones which I bought for my home studio (recording and mixing music). The sound and clarity are outstanding and great at all volumes in all ranges. There are two slight downsides which mean I did not give the full 5 star rating. One is that at high volumes (and wow are these headphones loud) sound does leak from them and when recording this can be picked up - so be careful to ensure the volume is kept reasonable when/ if using a sensitive microphone for recording (or if you don't want to annoy the person sat next to you on the bus). The other is a tiny little nag on comfort. Whilst they sit very comfortably initially, are snug on the ear and have an adjustable headstrap, which makes them fine for probably 2-3 hours of wear, after this time they can start to feel a little 'tight' across the top of the head. I've obviously adjusted the head strap to ease this but can't remove it altogether whilst also keeping them well fitted to my ears. It's not a major problem and taking short breaks from having them on does help, given I can sometimes be wearing them all day when mixing. Like I say it's only a tiny nag - but I think a little bit of extra padding on the underside of the headstrap would help (unless I just have a sensitive head!!). Otherwise these are really top class headphones at an incredibly competitive price and I would buy them again.

Sennheiser really are the best for me.
I've always personally used Sennheiser monitors in my recording studio, where I do voice-overs, I can't compare to other brands but I feel I don't need to as these are comfortable for long hours of use and the ear covers are comfortable and certainly don't cause headaches as some people say after long use. Most importantly the sound is good that I hear through them, very crisp and clear and I've already had these a couple of years and as I look after them, they still look like new.

Solid headphones with misconceptions about usage, build quality and features
Sound Quality was fine, acceptable bass and good accuracy. They are marketed as good DJ headphones as well as monitoring phones, they are not. Music sounds generally good but very flat and boring, not even close to being enough bass or warmth for proper music listening. The jack that attaches to your audio playback device is huge and very likely to bend and twist, therefore breaking the copper inside. The headphones cord is non detachable unless you want to buy a new specific to this model cable for £30.The default cord is gargantuan, thick and curled, so much that it almost tugs the left cup down on your head.I have a big head and the headphones were a little loose on their tightest setting for me. Others have said the exact opposite however. They provide decent comfort over long periods although the cushion material can get sweaty and i would have preferred it to be a little firmer.Word of warning, know what your getting into here. I wanted some solid headphones that wouldn't break, would provide accurate sound without being boring. Two of those things were wrong. These are specific headphones with a specific use, not for everyday enjoyment.

Poor quality audio
As soon as I tried these I knew they were inadequate, unfortunately. My main use for them would have been dialogue editing so I need as neutral a frequency-response as possible, with clarity being paramount, and these were just dull-sounding. Having read some other reviews I have to wonder whether this pair were actually faulty or if maybe the production of these headphones has dropped in quality over the years they've been on the market. Really disappointed, especially when Sennheiser headphones I've used before have been really good.

Excellent headphones
I've had these head phones for 3 years now and thought i'd do a small review. After using many different headphones in my studio, both mixing and recoding sound. I have to say these are the best pair of head phones i've used by far. The sound quality is amazing and the noise cancellation is just as impressive. I use them every day and have never had any problems with them. I even take them with me when i go away as no other headphones cut it for me now. They are a bit big but i love big headphones. They might be a bit out of peoples price range, but if you have the extra to spend on them you won't be disappointed, they are very durable and will be well worth money in my opinion.

Great Quality
I don't have much experience with the studio headphones as this is my first personal buy. But I have used many headphones for shorter durations so this is my review in respect to my personal experience.Build Quality:Very good. Seems and feels really durable. The adjustment clips are very smooth and the headphones fit my head perfectly. The sponge part is also decent and feels like a quality product. It has a long curled wire which is very convenient. It has a 3.5 mm jack and has a quarter inch adapter, again very rich quality. Headphones are heavy and pretty tough.Performance:The voice and bass quality is very good. The noise cancelation is pretty effective as compared to other studio headphones I have ever used. It has been a year I am using it and I am completely satisfied with the sound quality. Very good for Production, Mixing and Mastering.I am using it with Focusrite Scarlett 2.2 and works excellent.Comfort:Very Comfortable and handy. You can fold it inwards and it takes very less space. It has a supreme quality sponge fit to both ears and at the top for head comfort. Use it for 2-3 hours without any pain or trouble. It totally depends on person to person anyways.Price:I got this for 6,600/- (discounted price) and for that price it is totally worth. There are other inexpensive studio headphones in the market but if you are looking for a one-time investment kind of deal, Don't even think twice just and go for it.

Gran calidad y relativamente poca pasta

Top 5 Substitutes for Beats, #1 under $100 headphones by CNET
Excellent headphones. I quickly found myself compelled to purchase audio enhancement software by Creative just to compliment these headphones. I constantly find myself amazed by the sound being produced by these headphones; everything from the shocking bass of explosions in Battlefield, to the footsteps of enemies approaching in Halo, to the ridiculously pleasing sound of Carlos Santana destroying a solo. The chord has none of that annoying popping sound like lower-end headphones when they collide with anything or rub against anything because the chord is coiled. This also allows me to walk around my room freely. I have my headphones plugged into my tv or my computer and just walk up around my room without it pulling on either.tl:dr: Totally immerse for gaming, outstanding music clarity (maybe buy a good sound card/audio software), extremely durable and portable, comfortable after prolonged use.
