Excellent translator enjoying the product completely

stopped working with in 1 month now it will not charge and there is no support. i emailed the customer service people and nothing. this device worked great for about 1 month. i tried to charge it, and it will no longer charge. UPDATE: the company fixed the machine and they are nice people who did help me out, and they are ok in my opinion. they are nice people .

Just opened the box and tried the ‘Voice Translation-button free’ function. It doesn’t work!!! Yes. The ‘button-free translation’ function is turned on. Say, for Chinese and English translation, I say a sentence in Chinese close to my mouth as instructed, it works perfectly to translate it into English; when the other party heard it and put the device next to her mouth to respond in English back, the devise simply record the English response and repeat it in English, NOT translate it into Chinese. It’s NOT two-way!!! Is it just me got a defect product? Thinking returning.

There is no comparison between Google translator and this device because this has a split screen and one person talks and two seconds later the conversations translation. As you know with a search engine translator, you have to ensure that the original language spoken using the microphone on your smart phone or typing it must be reasonably accurate. You’ll often have to edit it a little bit, but not with this translation device. You just speak naturally and you’re done, so the flow of conversation with split screen is much much faster and better, more natural. I intend on using it where two Non-English speakers will sit in a two hour meeting in front of the English presenters and this unit. The English speaking person will speak while the unit automatically translate it into the two Non-English speaker's native language--they will read the translation after muting the microphone on the unit because they’re sitting in the front row and I don't want to disturb the people in the other rows. Anticipated limitation-- only short bursts of the English presentation can be translated on this device because that would work best. However, the non-English speakers will have fun doing this and it’s better than sitting in a two hour meeting not understanding one word spoken. And this is a monthly meeting. And there will always be two non English speakers. And yes, there is a Bluetooth function

This translator is light, with a simple interface and a fast response. It can automatically adjust the non-standard pronunciation, and the offline effect is also good.

First impressions were good. Not as big as I imagined and fits good in the hand. Interface is pretty straight forward and easy to use. Turning on from standby mode took less than 5 seconds. The battery seemed to last several days with moderate use. I also had no problems downloading offline language packets. Now for the cons and there are many... I would rate the accuracy of the translation at 90%. I am using this to translate English to Spanish. Delay for the translation took between 5 and 10 seconds on average. There were awkward moments when it repeated words and phrases like it was confused. The menu has an option to switch between male and female voices but almost always reverted back to female. There are several modes to translate like the split screen mode to read what is on the screen opposing each other. In reality it was not practical and ended up using the normal 2 person mode instead. At first I thought this might be a breakthrough being able to have conversations with my family. It instead ended up being more of a frustration having to repeat what I said several times. In my opinion, these translation devices have a long way to go before they are ready for prime time. Do not expect a fluid conversion. This is meant for simple phrases and communication. Overall I feel I waisted a lot of money on something that does not perform as advertised. This is a revised update after my original review. I would now give it 2 out of 5 stars.

I bought this translator for Mandarin - English translation and it's worked very well. It seems to be the best translator for the two languages so far. It is very easy to use and the battery lasts several days. I still have the world wide internet so I will see how it will work without internet and will try different languages.

i used for spanish to chinesse, the Chinese guy that came to my factory said it does not translate accurate. He used one with physical button, and i think is more convenient to have a physical button to translate than touch, because you can do it faster.

I loved my new translator friend; as it’s helping me to communicate better with my international clients. Thank you iflytek for the amazing translator.

This is a great device, it is very helpful, I didn’t try another translator, I know it is little bit expensive, but I chose this just because it is not cheap, because you will use it in important places and important time, so it have to looks expensive and Advance, anyway it did. It looks like a expensive phone, the touch screen is very smooth just like my IPhone, the screen is enough big, so you can see more or choose the bigger font, the touch free option is great and more easy for use, I didn’t see another device with this. It come with a two year global internet for free, the manual said this internet can share to your phone, I never use it, but I think that will be great if I am outside of country. Anyway I will do more explore the features of the translator and share to here later.

Was excellent for using in China. Had a more accurate translation than some phone apps. The only issue i had was for the cost, as it is expensive, a screen protector and case should be included in the box. The sbility to translate text worked very well for reading street signs and translating restaurant menus.

Frankly speaking, I am very disappointed. This is a very good Chinese brand. But this time, the camera does not work! This is too low standard! In fact, I had a bad feeling when I opened the package and saw the screen film full of bubbles! There will be no next time!
