This is our fourth time clock in three years. Tried some less expensive options and they just don't hold up in a manufacturing environment. Only time will tell with this one, but I can say that it's built much better than the others we've had. And the accruing time column is a great time-saver. Everybody knows how many hours they have as they punch in and out during the week, no surprises when it's payday. And it's easier on me writing the checks. I didn't want to drop this much money on a time clock, but if it lasts several years then it's money well spent.

Works good. Keeps accurate employee records.

The only thing that made this heavy duty is that the regular time clock was put in a case. We have had multiple of the same not 'heavy duty' version over the years. It is a good time clock but shop life takes its toll. Maybe this will last longer and the case will make the difference. We deal with lots of humidity so we put in some desiccant packages in the case and hope it might prolong the life.

Needed a new machine at work easy to set up

We have previously had 4 other Pyramid time clocks and most recently had the Pyramid 4000 HD time clock. It lasted us 4 years so I purchased the Pyramid 5000 HD and it worked great for about a week and then started only sporadically working. Some of the time it works correctly but most of the time it will not punch the card and our employees have to continue, sometimes many times, to run their cards through the machine to get it to punch.

The clock is printing clearly and keeping accurate time.

Our previous Pyramid time clock worked fine for years. When it was finally time to replace it, we got the 5000 HD. After 11 months, it started working sporadically. About 50% of the time, it will not punch the time when an employees clocks in or out. They have to run the card through a couple times. It makes it very inefficient, slow, and frustrating at opening and closing times! I called customer service and they told me to reset the machine, which did nothing. Now, of course, it's past the one year warranty time.

I ordered this for our small business of 8 employees. It works just as it says. We love it. (as long as our employees remember to clock in and out). I like how it keeps a running hour total so i can see who's getting close to over time hours. We keep it inside our office, it's a bit loud when they punch in and out but it's quickly done. This time clock has been working great. It does come with some time cards but did have to order more.
