This was such a great kite and I'm happy to have gotten it so that I can do something fun with my kids. What I like about this Kite is that it is super durable! It is made out of strengthened polyester and seems impossible to tear or rip! Another great thing is that this is a big kite. It is over 6 feet long and about 3 feet wide with streamers and a very long tail. It's a fun kite to play with and easily draws a crowd once it gets off the ground. Also, the line is very long so this kite can fly very high! The handle is beveled-like so it is easy to let go of the string or wrap it in when it is time to bring it down. The Kite is lightweight and folds up really easy so it is easy to fold up or if you're like me stuff in your pocket.

This is a great quality kite - well made - for the low, low cost. Of course, when an adult buys a kite and intends to fly it themselves, immediately the weather becomes still and/or rainy for the next 6 months, so I wouldn't say my test flights (duration 8.5 minutes at the most) can prove much. I will suggest that in storing the kite, you do NOT fold the tail in half lengthwise before rolling it up - it tends to stay that way. The side tails can be damaged by letting them drag on the ground or twisting them around the kite in storage, so resist the urge to do so.It's a lovely - quite large - colorful kite and includes a handy string & winder. The ripstop fabric is tough stuff. There are no instructions included, but do not lose the black rod that holds the kite open - it slipped out of the bag (it is loose inside the package) and I was having real difficulty figuring the kite out until it was spotted on the carpet. There are little plastic tabs easily located on the back of the kite for the rod placement. Of course, this allows you to put the kite away in the package it comes in (though it's a clear package and not too durable) when you remove the rod. Anyone who had trouble getting this kite to fly probably (like I did) did not locate the black rod.In flight, the little bits cut on the end of the tail whip around in an amusing way, like fingers waving, it's a nice touch. You're thinking for the price this kite can't be much fun - but it really is! Good Value for Money.

I bought this kite for my 8-year-old daughter. She had no trouble keeping it aloft in low winds on a day with average wind speeds of about 7 mph (sometimes lower). I have not flown it in high wind. It survived for use on another day. It seemed to require slightly less wind than another very similar kite that I bought for my son (the In The Breeze Rainbow Sparkler Fly Hi Delta Kite, 46 inch), though that other kite also flew stably and appeared just slightly more sturdy.The slightly heavier crossbar on the other kite may have added just enough weight to let this one fly with 1 mph less wind.

Attention Buyers! NO INSTRUCTIONS ARE INCLUDED.I know it sounds silly, but I purchased this kite because I was having difficulty flying a previously purchased one. This kite is advertised as easy-to-fly, why even a young child can handle it. Well, that's why I purchased this one! I relied on internet sites to try to put this kite together, and ended up stringing and re-stringing it several times. For those of us new to this activity, ONE Ikea-type instruction would have been greatly appreciated. The brand-new kite dove into the ground so many times that the material has torn already. I was expecting more.

I purchased this kite to have on hand for an upcoming visit from a 3-year-old (well, almost 4). He had a blast with it at the Oregon coast, and was easily able to handle it himself once his parents got it into the air. The day was extremely windy, but the kite held up well and delighted us all. I will keep it in my camper for some kite-flying fun of my own! Given the price, the size is okay, but I would prefer an even larger kite for an older child or an adult. The long tail and colorful design make it easily visible from the ground. Good purchase. No regrets. Happy kid.

I ordered two of these kites based on the pastel pink and blue colors. They arrived on time, but are not the colors shown. Instead they are the traditional primary and secondary rainbow colors. They are the same style as the one shown except that there are two more small tail strips on the rounded part of the bottom as well as the one on the top points as pictured. The other 3, less expensive kites I ordered came in a carrying case. These were in a clear plastic sleeve like the ones newspapers are delivered in. This kite is now listed as currently not available, so there isn't anything I can do to try to get the colors shown by the time I need them. These are gifts, so not flown yet.

I bought this for my 4.5 year old, who loves the bright colors. It is a perfect size for her too. Unfortunately, the first day we took it out she didn't understand that once the kite comes down you have to stop running or otherwise not drag it. After a few times the seams broke and the plastic 'poles' poked through. Also, it developed a few holes in the material. I sewed it back up and it works fine. But just be aware that the fabric is not very durable...perhaps it shouldn't have to be. But for a young child there might be issues with it holding up. A string on a spool rather than what comes with it would be nicer too.

After trying a few cheapo kites from the local Walmart, Target, etc., I finally realized I was going to have to spend a little more to get a functioning kite for the kids. This thing just works. You tie the string onto it, throw it up in the air, and it stays aloft decently well. Also, it has suffered about 5 to 10 hard nosedives so far without breaking. Finally, a kite that just works. Love it. And the price is pretty reasonable.
