EASY TO OPEN. The trick is pushing up gently on the SMALL TAB on the corner of the lid while firmly holding the bottom section of the box. EASY TO CLOSE. Just push straight down on the very FRONT of the lid until it snaps closed. Not straight down, won't close or close easily. SMALL SIZE. These are roughly 1.5 x 1.5 x 0.6", so don't foolishly write a negative review when you "discover" they're small. You've been warned, both in the description and here.That said, these small boxes are superb for securing and organizing small items in a fishing tackle box. Fishing flies, snap swivels, swivels, small hooks, split-shot weights, slip float stopper tabs, small or medium treble hook covers, wacky worm o-rings, beads, split rings, and more. All that irritatingly small stuff we must deal with.Even better, the boxes are small enough to fit within the fixed or adjustable dividers of many tackle boxes. Push down on one side of the small box and the other side pops up, making it easy to grab the box. And they're short enough to often stack two-high within those dividers. For example, in the mid-size dividers, you can often fit six boxes, stacked three deep and two-high.I started out buying one set (12) of these boxes, thinking I probably wouldn't use half of them. Came back for more and now have twenty-three (all used) in my tackle box. Now, after finding other uses elsewhere, I'm back to get two more sets (24 more). Needless to say, I'm sold on these little boxes.

The pictures used for this product are VERY misleading. These containers are so small they fit in my hand. Looking at the picture all I looked at in the description was 1.5", thinking these were 1.5" tall. Nope, they really are 1.5" wide, less than 1.5" long and 1/2" deep. And they do not allow returns. Plus, I cannot open them. If you put something small in them once you actually get it open that something small would go flying everywhere. I ordered these at the same time I ordered a whole bunch of larger items and I got these, in my mailbox, a week after I got the big stuff. Now I'm stuck with all these little boxes, that I cannot even open, to figure out what to do with. Very disappointed.

I order these almost 2 years ago and I'm finally back for more. I use them to store small bobbins of thread in (Nymo, Superlon, and others) for seed beading. They do only hold one bobbin each, but they're stackable and VERY easy to open and close. I'm just thankful Amazon still sells them! My thread collection is quickly growing as I get more colors of thread to play with. To me, I like having only one bobbin per box as it keeps the threads from tangling like they tend to do in other containers that will easily hold more than one. Can't wait to get my next shipment! They're also great for storing smaller beads in if you don't have a lot of them, they're easy to open and close, but they DON'T "pop open" as many other similar products do. The quality is nice. The sides aren't too thick, but they're not paper thin, either. Only slightly flexible if you try to squish them, so they hold up well when tossed in my toolbox if I want to bead "on the go" - no worries about them getting crushed by other, heavier, tools and parts that I need. I highly recommend these great little containers for any type of your small storage needs!

I had a difficult time to open them until I discovered the small tab on the side of the container. Then it worked very well.Also, I had to make sure that the container snapped shut.

Very tiny. Will be great For storing small screws like eyeglass screws or tiny beads for crafts.

I’m giving these 2 stars because I searched amazon for “bow boxes” and these came up. They aren’t cheer bow boxes by any stretch. I ended up finding real bow boxes later but you can imagine my surprise when I opened these. I ended up putting mints inside as a little pre-Comp cheer gift for our squad.

I bought these to hold board game pieces and they work very well for that but they are very small so can only be used for small amounts of chits. They are perfect for that though. The lid seals tightly and opens completely to allow easy access to the contents. My wife has already commandeered a couple for her jewelry so apparently they are good for that as well.

Perfect size for so many small items I use in my studio, but they're so difficult to pry open, that twice tiny things went flying everywhere. I mean you REALLY have to be careful because there's not enough fingernail gripping edge to use while you try to hold the box tight enough to pry it open. I'm very happy with their larger products and would recommend any of those.
