Simplicity® Home Decorating: Step-by-Step Sewing Techniques and Easy-to-Make Soft Furnishings

I have been looking for something that help my home be perked up. I didn't feel that this book could do this. It came quickly and well packaged it did not please me at all.

When I first opened my new copy of Simplicity Home Decorating Book, I was very disppointed. I found words omitted and references to illustrations that did not exist! The problem that bothers me most is the tabbed dividers between the chapters. The table of contents gives chapter titles, not numbers. When the book is closed the dividers show only chapter numbers, not titles. The dividers make using the book awkward when they should make it easierNow that I have spent some time with the book my opinion has changed. The editorial mistakes are there, but there is also something else in this book: Lots of useful information. Sewing techniques are explained clearly and in detail. The illustrations are very helpful. They make the techniques so much easier to understand. People that sew but don't know home decorating will find this book quite useful. Newbee sewers can benefit greatly from reading this book.I'm glad I bought the book. I hope they get a good editor for the next edition.

This book has suggestions that I will try. Wish I had this before I made my curtains.

I bought this book new and it was torn and bent. Not really good quality. Pages are good just not the tabs or other materials.

Something's don't change This book gives you the basic skills you need.To do you and not go broke in the process.This book is fun and it will make you look and think. You can say I'll try that and really do it.

Great pictures and reading. Good instructions. Lots of ideas even for the beginning seamstress. Book arrived in timely fashion. Made a perfect gift for my daughter in a new home. Every home needs one.

Exactly what I wanted and, except for a few of the divider tabs being bent, in pristine condition. Great book.

Direction seem very clear. Very important!

Had seen this book on a TV programme though it looked good and was not disappointed. Purchased as a gift and recipient is delighted.
