Doesn't last and doesn't work. (Four sensors - none good)
Great idea. Very motivational when it works.. That's the good news. The bad news. They aren't reliable and you may not be able to tell when they are spewing worthless/misleading readings.I bought this to track my progress at lowering blood glucose and learning about what spikes look like for me and wht causes them. I have a backup meter that I use that requires the finger-prick blood sample and I wanted a more continuous view.I had four of these devices.First one. Worked well for ten days. I periodically verified the reading with the hand-held meter and they agreed within normal parameters. But again, died on day 10.Second one. This came in a two-pack so I attempted to apply the second one. This one had a mechanical defect and would not apply.I wrote to Amazon and a replacement box was send about a week later.Third one. Worked well for 7 days and then just stopped. During that time the readings seemed to match my hand-held meter.Fourth one. I applied it and the readings were wrong from the beginning. I kept verifying, hoping that it would wake up but gave up 2 days later when it started giving such ridiculously low numbers that I contacted Stelo customer service. What a waste of time. I spent over 40 minutes giving details, after which they had me fill out forms to complain with the same data that I already gave them. Then I was informed that there would be a review process that would take days to determine if I was even eligible for replacements.I have an Android phone so I don't know how many other options I have but this is clearly not a solution.I highly recommend that you go someplace else until you stop seeing reviews like this!

Great product
I am on day 11 of using this product. It has worked great for me. I am pre-diabetic. I am using it to track how my body reacts to different foods and find ways to improve my diet to keep myself from becoming fully diabetic and get my A1C and triglycerides in better control. The blood sugars that I get are comparable with a finger stick blood sugar and I haven't had any problems with getting wonky readings like some other people have. I have made sure to change the sticker holding my sensor on every few days. I bought an extra pack of stickers to make sure that the device stays well in place. I have found the little tips and information the app gives you helpful and being able to see kind of the patterns of my blood sugars and what foods I do and don't respond to in different ways very interesting and very helpful.

High rate of sensor failure issues
Not good. The Stelo only lasted for 8 days when it says it will last for 15 days. I had 7 days remaining when it told me the session ended and start a new sensor. Dexcom does not have this technology perfected yet. Many times during the 8 days it was working I received a message “Brief Sensor Issue…wait 3 hours”. For the most part these issues fixed themselves until day 8. On day 8 I received this message and then after 1 hour it said….”session ended…start a new session with a new sensor”. Even though I had 7 days remaining on the current sensor. I wasted $100 on 2 sensors. I am not using the second sensor because of the high rate of issues with the first sensor. My Dr wants me to track blood sugar for 2 weeks ….before each meal and 1 hr and 2 hr after each meal. My Dr said this would be a good device to do this tracking but unfortunately it is not because of the sensor failure after one week. It worked for the first week but failed for the second week. I will be using the old reliable finger pricks and blood glucose monitor for the second week. Just one person’s opinion.

Review after 3 Days and 10 days of Using the Stelo CGM (compare with fingerstick readings)
1. 3-Day Update on CGM Use (1st Sensor)I am prediabetic with an HbA1c of 6.0 and decided to monitor my glucose levels closely to take action before things progress. To do this, I purchased the Stelo Continuous Glucose Monitor (CGM) and, in parallel, used a manual glucometer (lancets, device, and strips for fingerstick testing)..Over the past 3 days, I carefully compared readings — taking at least 30 fingerstick samples and comparing each with corresponding data from Stelo. Consistently, the Stelo CGM showed readings 8 to 15 mg/dL higher than the fingerstick measurements.I understand that CGMs measure glucose in interstitial fluid, which can lag behind fingerstick readings from capillary blood by about 15 minutes. That said, the difference I observed was very consistent — Stelo was always higher..My Verdict:1. Stelo is a useful tool for identifying trends and patterns over time.2. It is not as precise for exact moment-to-moment readings.3. For accurate blood glucose levels, fingerstick testing should stay the standard..Notes: However, CGMs like Stelo can be very helpful for daily decision-making, meal timing, and understanding how lifestyle impacts glucose..If you're looking to spot trends and improve metabolic health, Stelo is an option - just remember to double-check with a manual test when precision matters.....2. 10-Day Update on CGM Use (1st Sensor)Unfortunately, the issue with inaccurate readings has not improved — in fact, it's become more pronounced. Over the past 4-5 days, I’ve consistently observed readings that are 25–30 mg/dL higher than my fingerstick blood glucose measurements, even when taken at rest or in controlled conditions. That said, I do need to be honest about my usage:I’m putting this sensor through intensive (!!) physical stress — daily gym sessions involving weightlifting and running, plus swimming at least four times a week. I applied a SKIN GRIP patch over the sensor on day one, which has held it in place remarkably (!!!!) well, even after exposure to sweat and pool water. The sensor is still functioning, likely due to that patch, but the accuracy is unreliable. At best, it provides a general directional trend — whether glucose is rising, falling, or stable — but I wouldn’t rely on the absolute numbers for detailed glucose management.I plan to keep it on for the remaining 4 days (just for fun and trend observation), but given this experience, I don’t have high expectations for the second sensor in the pack.
