Hello! You can add up to 6 handsets to a base unit. However, it is possible to add up to 12 handsets to the 2-line phone system KX-TG9581. Hope this helps! -C

Can you transfer calls to cell?

Instruction books says you can but I had to return this phone system as it would not respond to the codes prompted.
