Great Nesting Box For Chickens
The box was assembled by me in under five minutes using one screwdriver. It comes with all needed screws and one extra screw. The box I received was sturdy plywood. It's better quality than others I've bought in the past at the local famous feed store. The directions state to coat it with non-toxic outdoor paint or spray varnish with UV blockers but I did not complete this step and am using it as-is. The Amazon description states made in China but the box says Doscocil Manufacturing Company Inc., California. My hens are using it and like it.

Sketchy then solid.
They feel a little sketchy as you assemble but are super solid once fully assembled.

Wish they liked it
Got this so my young hens would have extra nesting spots. So far they haven't used it and prefer the cat carrier I had put in the house. If this could be made more enclosed, I'm sure they'd like it more.

quality isn’t that well.
The front part of gap in both side of the wood is so so so easy to broke. I glued it together. I could give 10 dollars for the design. 2 dollars for the quality. U get what u pay.

Great hen laying box
Piece of cake to put together. Just watch the interlocking joints. I had to glue one side. Other than. They no issues at all. I had 3 birds climb in at one time so seems solid.

Well machined wood, only 5 screws needed (provided) for assembly
Assembly isn't rocket science, and it is sturdy and roomy enough. I'm using it for a dove nesting box in an outdoor aviary.

Junk
This thing was total junk. I ordered 2 to set up in my chicken coop and I wasn’t really sure what to expect when i did so. I assembled both boxes in a matter of 20 minutes or so and immediately I could tell I was dealing with some cheap press board. One of the boxes was broken before it even made it to the chicken coop just from assembly. (Wood split when I screwed part of it together) I wasn’t even using a drill! The thing literally cracked while I was trying to be as gentle as physically possible. I ended up installing the 1 that was not already falling apart and it lasted about a week. I came into my coop one afternoon to see the box bottom had completely cracked in half from the weight of a damn chicken. Luckily none of my birds got hurt but this was it for me This is probably the cheapest designed nesting box anyone could possibly make. I went ahead and built something else that turned out to work so much better just out of literal scrap wood I had kicking around. If you value the safety of your chickens and also your money DO NOT BUY THIS

Affordable
This nesting box is great for the price. Obviously you can’t wash it because it’s cheap untreated wood, but if you keep it filled with clean wood chips or hay that’s not a problem. You do need to be careful when putting together so that you don’t break the cheap wood. As long as your slow & careful you won’t have a problem.
