You will find most of the entries in this book in a good dictionary like 'The Oxford Advanced Learner's Dictionary.' But the small size of the book and its complete dedication to phrasal verbs make it much easier and quicker to find the right phrase you are looking for. It is highly recommended for all learners of the English language.

The book looks tiny strong and thick. Pages are good quality and thick too,not weak..and about book it has great collection of phresal verbs and more with easily understandable way. It helped me out in a several way and you'll find many new words that wouldn't be known to everyone.

I have both Cambridge phrasal verb dictionary and oxford phrasal verb dictionary .. I am comparing both as : 1 Texts and printing of Cambridge is more catchy than oxford 2 Oxford is more exhaustive than Cambridge . 3 The closed Syn. and ant.of each phrasal verb given in oxford while it is not given in Cambridge . Both are good ,as oxford is exhaustive ,my first preference is oxford .

Cet ouvrage compile environ 7000 phrasal verbs (il existe sans doute plus complet, mais c'est déjà une collection de mots assez étendue !) dans l'ordre alphabétique, avec des explications en anglais certes, mais très faciles à comprendre pour les débutants en anglais : c'est limpide, simple, concis, précis, avec des exemples. L'ouvrage est complété par un guide des particules qui précise les sens généraux multiples de "in", "out", "about", "of", "off", etc. et qui permet de saisir la couleur que donne ces particules aux verbes auxquels elles sont associées. Donc un ouvrage que j'apprécie et que je recommande.

I used to use wiktionary online at all times, but it does not cover english phrasal verbs. This dictionary satisfy that gap. Not only provides lots of phrasal verbs, it also provides explanation of all particles (which follow the verbs), and in the middle of the book there are 20 pages of excercise section.

It's pretty good reference, but I'm not sure if "true up" is considered a phrasal verb and it appears to be missing. I could be wrong though. Other than that, it's a really good reference.
