This scale is ALMOST perfect for workshop use
This scale is all that is advertized. I'm very happy with how accurate it is and that a 200g. Weight was provided for calibration. I make products with essential oils for skin and it's important to know the weights are accurate for skin safety.I like that this scale came with the adapter BUT I wish that there was a way to over ride the 60-sec shut off. If I'm weighing and have a bottle with a stubborn lid or I forgot to grab something across the room then the scale turns off. Sometimes when making complex blends I can be right in the middle of measuring an ingredient and it just turns off. Really, REALLY a bummer. My scale for heavier items plugs in as well but only auto turns off if using the battery feature. If it's plugged in with the electric adapter it never turns off. I was hoping this scale would be the same. The description does say 60 sec shut off so it's as stated I was just hoping it meant for only during battery operation. If that part was updated this would be the perfect scale!

Good accuracy. Terrible instructions.
Ordered this for home chemistry experiments. Mine came with the ac adapter. Out of the box, the accuracy was pretty great. When I weighed the calibration weight of 5gm, it read exactly 5.00 gm. It was slightly off at 100gm reading 100.05gm. It however has terrible instructions for how to calibrate it. I finally figured out these steps:- Turn scale on- Hold down the CAL button until the calibration weight is displayed. For my max 500gm scale, it displayed 200g. Release the CAL button.- Press the MODE button (do not hold down). The 200g was displayed again and CAL was displayed and flashed three times. At that time, before the flashing ends, quickly place the necessary calibration weight.- The display will show PASS. Turn off the scale. Calibration is done.I bought this $9 calibration weight kit.https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01E76H4QU/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Very good value.
The accuracy at the one hundredth gram level is questionable, but it does have a larger capacity than most scales at that price with the same rate level of accuracy. I trust the accuracy at the tenth gram level, and it's ball park at the hundredth gram level, but at least you can tell if you are about to break into another tenth or if you are closer to the tenth below the next one.

Not Worth the Money
The one I received was NOT NEW new--most likely a returned item. The box was NOT sealed, and It had water under the stainless steel pan, although the blue plastic film was still intact. Additionally, I could not get it to work initially. The red led light on the 120V electrical adapter would intermittently flash, but provided no power to the scale. Batteries did NOT work either. After trying a different electrical receptacle, I found that if the prongs were inserted partially into the outlet, the red light was steady--and the scale came on when the button was pushed at this point..Since I needed it for an immediate project (weight some arrows), I removed the screw on the 120V adapter and removed the cover--thus, ending my return options. The 2 prongs that go from the wall into two rectangular sleeves were not making contact. So, I used a small pair of hobby plyers and bent the metal sleeves so that they would make solid contact--and that worked..NOTE that besides these issues, I had to spend 30 minutes experimenting on how to Calibrate this unit. The instructions are useless:."Press MODE or CAL key quickly an hold it until LCD displays "CAL", then untie MODEorCAL key, press MODEorCAL again, after LCD flashes "CAL" and "100.0" . . . ".I have no idea what that means or what they meant buy using the word, "untie." When I finally got it to go into Calibration mode--after numerous attemps at various combinations of OFF/ON, and Holding Buttons, it wanted a 200 gram weight. . ..This is now useable--for me---after this "hoop jumping," but I would recommend that you BUY ANOTHER BRAND.

Perfect for tabletop use.
This scale does everything as advertised. Delivered priority... so it's here before Amazon knows they've shipped it. Excellent scale with removeable tray. USB power with AC plug adapter. Feet and bubble level on the scale. Tested with calibration weights, and it's perfect with all.PS (would need a separate 500g scale to do a manual calibration not included)

limited use
no setting for troy ounces so not to good for precious metals
