1/2 Inch Part 2 Ball-Cock Valve with Ball/Float

Well made, good materials, works as it should, good price.

Installed into high level Victorian style cistern - which a lot of standard float valves do not fit into - fits perfectly - took 10 to 15min to take out the old one and install the new one, set level and leave to test - I was tempted to buy a repair kit for the old one as it was just weeping through the valve, the old float was larger and would sometimes clunk when flushed so opted for this unit - but for the cost and speed solved two problems in one.

This did the job perfectly of replacing an old worn out - and leaking - loft tank ball cock valve, but you need a modicum of plumbing skills to do the job I'd (which I don't have), however, my nephew sorted it for me in about 45 minutes. (There are some YouTube videos out there which misleading seem to suggest that this can be done a little more easily than in reality - certainly that is than with this valve which is not a 2-piece arrangement.) This product did the job well but worth noting is that these Ball Cock Valves are available much cheaper elsewhere (so my nephew informed me and he's right if you look around !).

Easy to fit, solved a dripping overflow so more than happy. Seems sturdy enough and the overflow has stopped dripping avoiding possible issues with MR Jack Frost.

Perfect replacement for the 20+ year old one in my water tank in the attic. Easy to change over (with the water mains turned off) did the job well. No more leaky overflow.

This was a straight replacement for one that had been fitted over eight years before. It was simple to fit, I liked the ability to position the float deeper by having the rod bend at 90 degrees and having an adjustable fitting to attach the float. The brass rod that holds the float could be broken with heavy handling, but it is all away from prying hands. The water outlet is away from float switch so it should take longer to chalk up thanks to hard water than the previous version.

It doesn't seem to be top quality and it was too fiddly to mount, so I got a combi boiler instead. I always found it odd to live in a house that works like a gigantic toilet. Not anymore!!
