I wear a 11.5 in Reebok and ordered 10.5 in this boot and it fits perfect.Update:I've had these boots for a bit now..... vThe cordura upper they use breathes better than the canvas the original had. Overall quality of the boot is great. They are fairly rugged and the price is fair. They do take a little while to break in. I wouldn't do any long humps until you've worn them a while. The only bad thing I have to say is that they are a little noisy. The corder upper makes some noise when walking. It's not really loud but not quiet like the originals.

Quality made , worn around home for a couple of days After first trip to the American River boots broke in trek n along over trails n rocks I recommend these boots for hot summer they are comfortable and they dry quick

I ordered these for my son to go to BSA ‘s Northern Tier. He was canoeing for a week and they require the boys to exit the canoes in the water then have to carry the gear and canoes over rough terrain to the next lake. He said these worked great. Other boys with regular non waterproof boots complained about having mud and sand in their boots all week. My son’s were just wet, no sand or mud.

Being prior military and having worn one single pair of these the full four years of my service, I was very eager to get another pair. Just like the ones I wore in the service, these are built with what seems like very good quality material. Now for the bad news (for me anyway). I wore them once and after about 2 hours, was in so much pain I found myself incapacitated due to the ginormous gash my new boots were digging into my heel. I know and expect to have a break-in period with these or any footwear. This was not that! Where the upper back of the heel meets with the upper of the back has a ledge of thick leather protruding into the inside of the boot. Sadly, there is no amount of break-in time to correct this situation.Can't stress enough that I have no issue with the quality of materials. I have slim ankles anyway, something I've grown accustom to, but that has nothing to do with the ledge caused by the material inside the boot.I'm willing to try a different pair, hopefully they'll be better for me.

Everything I expected from Altima jungle boots. A bit pricey, but good quality leather and stitching with a really well designed sole. I like that the lugs on the sole are chunky, but open. For a work boot in warm climates, it's hard to beat unless you need a steel/plastic toe. Fitment was true to size for me and they did take a short period to break in, but nothing painful or dramatic.

Boot is well suited to trekking in Malaysia, where I live. Great sole. Two hours of break in after heel blister issue, and boots good to go thereafter, very confortable. High quality and true to size. Had pair in the 70's which my ex disposed of. Nice to replace those.Cooler on my feet than my Danner Ft. Lewis 'Go devil' boots which I love.

If you are looking for jungle boots, look no further. These are the classical British and US military designated jungle boots with Panama soles of top notch quality. Altama boots are approximately 0.5-1 size smaller than expected, as discussed in other reviews. I had the exact same experience. The medium width is quite narrow and great for slim feet. I was a bit surprised they are made in Phillipines and not in USA, but this may hopefully change in the future when multinationals are further pressed to bring their manufacturing home.
