I exercise outside at my house, and was looking for a bucket to store my powdered chalk. It needed to be durable, seal well, and be watertight to be resistant to the high humidity where I live. After researching regular buckets, I settled in this pet food bucket, and it has worked wonderfully. The bucket is perfectly sized for my needs, and the plastic is very high grade; it seems it can put up with a lot of movement and abuse, which is important because I move the bucket daily and am not careful with it. This bucket will likely last a long time, making it cost effective. The lid screws on easily and you don't have to tighten it down very hard for it to seal. The rubber gasket seals easily and keeps the dust from the chalk inside, while keeping moisture and humidity from getting inside and causing issues with the chalk. Every time I open it, the chalk is dry and powdery; if you use this for pet food you can rest assured that the food will remain dry. I understand my use for this bucket differs from the normal pet food storage; however, the demands of the chalk and the environment I use it in does a great job of displaying the bucket's features and durability. I would have no issues trusting it to keep my pet food safe. In fact, I purchased a second one for my dry cat food.

Works great, easy to use, and is easy to open. I routinely/seasonally have ants in my home, and this worked for keeping ants out. Very happy with this purchase!

Great storage container that held 5 pounds more kibbles than stated. Seals air tight. Would have given higher rating had it contained the scoop. Product is a bit pricey and scoop helped justify the cost. Now need to expend more to purchase a scoop.

GREAT CONTAINER! Seals tightly, easily. I washed and dried it before filling it, as instructed. This will be sooo much easier than trying to reseal the bad dog food comes in!

I have a Vault for my dog's food, and have been using it for many years. It has worked perfectly. I bought this for storing flour in my pantry. The dog food vault is the style with the slanted top, which is excellent for scooping out her food. This one is a bucket, with a handle, and is prefect for storing the various bags of flour I use. I bake bread regularly, and this holds a lot, so I can keep various kinds of flour all together, dry and safe from pests. The handle makes it easy to move and lift, and the screw-on lid is much easier than the typical snap-on lids other containers often have. This is a good product and at a good price. It will last for many, many years.
