3M Respirator Mask 4251+ Half Mask for Paint Spraying 1 per Pack

Bought this for spray painting but used it the other day when a lithium battery I had exploded and the activated carbon filter worked great.

Works well with spray painting, good protection

Came early even with the pandemic shortage and comes in a 3M card carry box and then the mask in the plastic foil wrap bag. This model is suitable for vapour and gas and is latest improved (+), for dust you can use a lower grade mask. Is suitable for 1k waterbase paint, 2k primer, not lacquer that contains isocyanates. Any 2K paint or lacquer you should use a airfed mask to protect against that.

I wear this when spraying varnish and other toxic substances during my art making. It works well, is easy and comfortable to use. I'm happy with my purhase

Good quality & fits very well

This mask offered no protection whatsoever when sanding some drywall.The valve was stuck open and let all dust through as if I was wearing no protection.I had a serious asthma attack and took a couple of months to recover fully.I would not buy this mask again.

Low quality inhalation valveAfter the first month of use, the inhalation valve is bent and does not protect the filter from exhaled air.

I’ve had a phew masks over the years and for keeping fumes away from the lungs I’d say this is probably the best mask I’ve used
