Good product if it was perfect which it's not because of the buzz noise during playback especially on the aux (not too bad memory card). No manual provided in the box so had to try and find one online.On the bright side it saves me from burning CDs and changing CDs while driving as I can have 6 folders with 99 songs in each folder which is all controllable via the steering wheel buttons.

I bought this cause i don't want to change my car stereo.As you know, BMW stereo its waider than standard auto stereos, so if you change it, looks awful.This is the bright and non expensive solution.The instalation its easy, just remove your radio, connect the adaptor, insert a usb memory or sd card and plug back in.If done correctly, led light shows in the back of device. Be sure to put the adaptor and cables in the left side of the radio ( the container space of the radio have a hole in the left that allows you to get all in, so the radio goes back in easily.

Ok, this looks like the best available opportunity to make stock stereo work with mp3: more or less easy to install (plug'n'play), somewhat comfortable browsing, ok-quality materials, etc. But! When i turn the engine on my stereo starts to noise if switched to mp3 changer. So probably changer wires are picking up the noise somehow. Wires are quite thin and unprotected so it's more than possible. I'll have to disassembly the stereo again, maybe put some filter, or add extra isolation to the wiring, i don't know, anyhow it ruins the plug'n'play concept, so i can't say i'm happy with the product. Found similar problems discussed among other BMW e39 owners, so it doesn't look like single damaged item.Tried to contact seller, got one humble question in response, about did i put it to BMW - well, yes, i kinda did, was my answer, followed with silence.Overall you can try this, read the other review - it is quite positive and has some useful comments, but be prepared that it could be more complicated than just plug the wires, and most likely you won't get any meaningful support from seller.

The delivery was reasonably quick from where it had to come from. The instructions seemed easy enough so I started to install but after completing nearly everything I did my final test before putting it all back into the dash and it did not work. I then drive to 3 audio specialists to see if I had done something wrong and was told by one of them they had no idea and the other two said the same thing everything I have done was correct but it's a faulty unit. I've tried contacting the seller but it's been three days now and still no reply.

Great product

Not plug and play and my unit was also faulty.A lot of hassle to install. I have also seen blogs across the web that state a lot of people have been sent faulty units that had to be sent back. My advice would be to avoid purchasing this unit
