Eccolo World Traveler Desk Size Journal, 256 Lined Page Notebook, 8-x-10-inch, Azure Plaque

I bought this as a gift for my husband who cares for your micro-apiary as a replacement for his old beekeeping journal (which only had a few pages left).I was pleasantly surprised when it came in.OVERALL IMPRESSIONI don't know much about the company that created this, but it feels like they have some "love" for what they do and produce. It seemed thoughtfully-designed and crafted.If you (or someone you know) is into bees - this is a great journal. If they are into something else, if I remember right, this company had some different cover options that might be better.THE COVERWhile not rigid like cardboard, had a luxurious feel to it - sort of like a leathery-suede.Nice design (we like bees so...) including debossingAlthough not a "hardback", feels durableTHE PAPERTypical weight, space between lines sized well for typical journaling (not too wide or narrow)Smooth, less "porous" (not sure how to say this, but some papers "break ink" up more because of a 'texture')Has a bit of color (not bright white) which is probably more a design thing (compliments cover)I hope the information in this review helped. This is my 4th 8x10 journal I have bought from Eccolo. It is the "Live a Great Story" journal. The Eccolo journals are great quality journals. I have many of the smaller ones that I bought from TJ Maxx and they are great- So comfortable to write in and the pages lie flat. I have about 15 of the smaller ones, 8.5 by 5.5 inch. I recently discovered these 8x10 inch ones. I LOVE them so much! They will last a lot longer than the smaller ones because they have more room to write on each page because they are BIGGER. So worth the price! I plan to keep buying the smaller ones too, but these BIG ones are my new favorite. I also bought the 8X10 one that says "Believe in Your Dreams" and 2 more 8x10 ones from the Dayne Lee Collection also made by Eccolo. These Eccolo journals are solid and made with great quality. They are my absolute favorite journals, especially the 8x10 ones! I plan to keep checking back on Amazon periodically to see when new ones come out and the ones that I LOVE the message on the cover I will buy!

Best journal ever. Flexible, lays flat, can be rolled up. The pages are large and I can write for days. I bought this journal in March of 2014, and it is still my favorite. I now have a few different journals that are just link this one. This gray, one with a green cover and one with a black cover. Seriously obsessed. I am writing this review because I have filled this journal and I am wanting to purchase another one. I am really pleased!

I wanted a notebook that was larger than the usual ones to write notes in when I read my Bible. This is such a beautiful notebook and it lays flat which is a huge plus. Also, it has a really pretty ribbon as a page marker to keep your place. Also, the size of the notebook is perfect because I wanted one that was larger than a diary. This wonderful, beautiful notebook serves my needs. I am so happy I purchased it especially for my spiritual time. I truly love this notebook and ordered one for my sister as a gift. You will not be disappointed if you too, decide to purchase this notebook for any reason. Update: I purchased another notebook for my sister. I am sure that she will love it as much as I do for taking notes when she's reading her Bible.

This is my initial impression review. The journal is the perfect size if you don’t want to flip pages every three seconds. The pages are thick enough that there is no ghosting with a regular black ink pen- not sure about rollers or wetter inks yet. It has a lot of pages so it will keep me going for awhile and lays flat while you’re writing which is helpful. The only thing I don’t love is that the front and back covers are made of a pretty thin cardboard. If it were faux leather or suede it would be much sturdier but it’s not enough to dock a star. Will update if anything changes!

You can literally buy this notebook at target for 10$ cheaper and its better quality....I'm def sending it back

Oh I love this journal! I was so hesitant to buy it because several reviews said it was cheap or damaged after shipping. I also wasn’t sure about the colors. They must’ve improved the packaging and shipping because it’s now covered in plastic shrink wrap! If you’re thinking of getting this color, go for it. It’s not as bold as it looks in the listing, it looks very sophisticated and a bit muted.

I purchased the Dog Notebook and just love it! When we got our new puppies, I wanted to start a journal to remember each day as they grew up. I searched all the place for the perfect doggie journal but could not find it so, I decided to make my own. Turned out to be a wonderful baby doggie journal. We were able to add planner stickers and photos. The pages have not bleed through from any of the markers I used. I was still able to write on pages that had stickers on the previous page with no problem.I have owned many journals by this company and have always enjoyed writing in them. This journal is another winner that turned out to be the best Doggie Diary! Would recommend this journal to anyone considering purchasing it.

Beautiful, arrived on time, great service.

I have used this product for over 5yrs now and this is my 5th book and product from China is not a good quality paper. I have used same product Made in Taiwan and the paper quality is superb. This time around i have the Turkey made product and yet to see how good it will be. I use fountain pens therefore smoothness of the paper is fundamental. I hope the Ecollo team is reading such reviews!

I love these notebooks. They used to sell them at Indigo, Chapters and sometimes Papyrus, but haven't been as readily available in the last year or so. I've ordered 2 on separate occassions and sadly both of them came damaged. The book was squished and the cover bent a bit. Also this black one has different paper than the other Eccolo notebooks this size- so I wouldn't recommend this one.

I really like this journal. My fountain pen ink doesn't bleed through. The paper is of a good quality.
