Beautiful topcoat for paintings
i’m new to epoxy and this is fairly forgiving. What I mostly love about this company and why I found them in the first place was all their ‘how to’ short videos on their website. One tip, I wrote on the bottles the color of the cap. Meaning, I wrote ‘white’ for the white lid and ‘black’ for the black lid. That way, when I took them off and mixed it, I would put the lids on the same bottles again and they won’t epoxied shut (which I could see being a rookie mistake I could of made). I’ve covered 3 of my artworks, 2 canvas and one metal. Each one was about 16 x 20, just to give you an idea of how much these bottles cover.I did not have measuring cups with numbers on them to mix it, so I eyeballed it out of each bottle making sure that I used exactly the same amount out of each one and it worked out fine. I’m not saying to do that, i’m just saying in a pinch, it did work.

Goes a long way! Brings out great colors.
Works as expected and as directed. Beautiful results on rocks painted with acrylics. Be aware, when your mixing container appears empty, it likely still has enough for another project or two.

I love this stuff
I use this on paintings and on coasters. It is expensive so I typically buy larger quantities. If you know you are going to be doing a lot the larger bottles are a better value. However, it has a shelf life after opening of about 6 months. So I recommend the smaller bottles if you're only doing one project. My husband and I are making coaster sets, I'm making the coasters. He's making lovely boxes to put them in. It takes about 1 ounce total between both the hardener and the resin at 1/2 ounce each. Since I am doing 4 coasters and a top tile for each set I'm using about 5 ounces a set and am buying the larger quantity to get a rate of about 1 dollar per coaster. We are making 20 sets of these for Christmas presents. This resin is fume free so you can use it in the house. It has a longer working time than many resins. It does not yellow. Using it in the house is important to me because I can't take the summer heat for any length of time in Louisiana. My husband used a resin on a piece of furniture that got hot and actually melted the container he was mixing it in. This resin does not heat up like that. Make sure you scrape the sides and bottom when you are stirring it, and for Heaven's sake stir it for the full 3 minutes. Make sure that you have a torch to run a flame over the surface which will pop all those pesky bubbles. I use a chef's torch. The art resin site has videos and ideas on ways to use it and will answer pretty much all questions you have about it. My clients love the resin on my paintings. The colors just pop and eliminate the need for framing. This resin can only withstand temperatures of about 120 degrees as I understand it so it won't work for trivets which was something else I was thinking of doing.

Easy to use
recently used the ArtResin Epoxy Resin for a few DIY projects, and here’s my experience.Pros:1. Non-Toxic Formula: I appreciate that it's non-toxic, making it a safer choice for indoor use. This feature is particularly important for crafters who are sensitive to fumes.2. Crystal Clear Finish: The resin cures to a beautifully clear finish, enhancing the aesthetic appeal of my projects. This quality really brought my artwork to life.3. Easy Mixing: The 1:1 ratio of resin to hardener is straightforward, and I found the mixing process hassle-free. There was minimal air bubble formation when poured carefully.Cons:1. Long Curing Time: While it provides a great finish, the curing time is longer than expected—taking up to 72 hours for a full cure. This can be inconvenient if you’re working on a time-sensitive project.2. Price Point: It tends to be more expensive compared to other resin options out there, which may deter budget-conscious crafters.3. Limited Working Time: Once mixed, the working time is around 40 minutes before it starts to set, demanding quick application for larger projects.Overall Impression:The ArtResin Epoxy Resin is an excellent choice for crafters seeking a high-quality, clear finish. While it has its downsides regarding curing time and price, its ease of use and non-toxic nature make it a go-to for various art projects. I highly recommend this product for anyone looking to elevate their DIY creations!

Yellows with titanium white
This resin is easy to use, but for the price you’d think it wouldn’t yellow. However, if you use it over titanium white, and don’t use a sealant first, it will yellow!! My husband made a clock, I painted it, and then he resined over it. We didn’t use a sealant; I didn’t think I would need to because Art Resin boasts protection against UV yellowing…I was wrong. Be sure to use a sealant like Krylon Crystal Clear on your piece before adding this resin, especially if you use titanium white.
