Another winner from Joe Wicks
I have all three of Joe’s Lean in 15 books and have cooked many of the great recipes dozens of times over. Recently, I bought his latest book: ‘Joe’s 30-minute meals’ which came out earlier this month. There are 100 quick and healthy recipes, a delectable feast for anyone embarking – or continuing – on their weight loss and exercise plan. Realising that some recipes do take longer than 15 minutes to cook, he decided to write a comprehensive book where recipes take a bit more time. After a friendly welcome by Joe, he sets out how the book will work for you, by organising the book by main ingredients: All-Day Breakfast, Chicken, Beef and Pork and so on. After the introduction, he helpfully lists the ingredients you’ll need for your store-cupboard so that you can just choose any recipe and not have to rush out to buy the main ingredients for it. He also lists extras that he loves which just add that little bit more to a recipe. Then you start with All-Day Breakfasts and written in Joe’s usual style of banter, you’re in for a real feast – not only for the eyes with the amazing colour photographs of what your dish should look like – but also with what you’ve prepared. There are some recipes which have vegetarian alternatives, but it is not a vegetarian cook book – you’ll have to wait for December for his vegetarian recipe book to come out. All the meals look fabulous; and if you’re familiar with Joe’s other books, you’ll know that you’re in for a treat when the Master of the Midget Trees puts a meal together.Unlike the Lean in 15 books, there are no work-outs but each recipe is labelled ‘reduced-carb’ or ‘carb-refuel’ so you’ll know which days to eat them on, depending if you’re doing a work out or not. This is a feast for the eyes as well as the belly. It’s a really great book.

Not bad but a little repetitive in places
This is the second of Joe's books I've bought recently (the other being cooking for friends and family.)This differs in that it's divided into food chapters-fish, meat, treats etc. Although the low and high carb recipes are labelled, they are not in any order within the chapter, which would help. It's an 'okay' book and the recipes are simple and quick. I will use quite a number of recipes, but others are not very different to his other book, much along the lines of 'roast a chicken breast and throw some veg and chorizo in the roasting tray', or the same with a fillet of fish. But some interesting ideas like using roast aubergine slices for a 'pizza' base and the carrot and courgette fritters. Obviously, it's easy to change any ingredients you don't like. I don't agree that the recipes need lots of expensive ingredients (herbs and spices) because it's easy to omit those and the dish will still be fine! The main criticism is the frequent use of chorizo (which for a health-focused book is not healthy) and the same for coconut oil where the jury is still out on its health benefits. There's quite a bit of garlic and hot spices too but again, if that's not your style, you could make small adaptations.

Clean eating recipe book
Ordered this book as I want to get back in to shape and it would seem no fitness instructor wants to help with a meal plan unless they train you, I have to say I am really impressed with the book the information it gives and the simple recipes are fun to make but really tasty, I highly recommend it their are some elements of the recipes I don’t like like tomato but once it’s cooked you hardly know they are their, a big thanks to the author

Better Than His 15 Minute Meals
This book has become a favourite in our house. Lots of good recipes that are tastier and have and more realistic timings than Joe Wick's 15 Minute trilogy. There are some longer recipes as well, but these are clearly marked. Also for those looking to do it on a budget, I can usually find 95% of his ingredients in Aldi, with only a few meals requiring a trip to a bigger supermarket.

Some strange recipes
Bought it and it's in great condition second hand .Some of the recipes use weird ingredients for me , I'm by no means a good or experimental cook.

Both simple and complex recipies.
Made a number of recipies from the book and have loads of post-it notes hanging out the top for future ones to try and re-try. There are many great recipes but the Monkfish Korma is amazing! Would definitely recommend and have infact bought for another family member since buying for myself.A useful feature is that it also suggests which are good for freezing and batch cooking etc.
