Switchable magnets are great! This one is nice and wide, you may be able to get by with just the one if you are welding wider pieces of steel. Rotate switch off, get everything positioned without having to struggle, rotate switch on, do your welds. Being able to switch the magnets off also makes it SO MUCH EASIER to keep them clean!

I did quite a bit of research before deciding on the Magswitch Mini Multi Angle 8100351. This Magswitch Mini Angle works so well, it allows me to hold metal on/at many different angles while welding. I almost went with the 350 from a welding supply company, before finding out that the the 351 had extra strength (for about the same price). Amazon always gives you a good selection of product choices, and I am glad I checked and then purchased the Magswitch through Amazon. The Magswitch is a great investment, highly recommended.

Good magnet awesome that you can turn it on or off again. Great to use as a ground for welding. Magnetic strength is decent but not quite as advertised it seems.

Buy it- you won't be sorry! After using this (and other Magswitch products) I don't know how I used to fabricate anything with standard old-school magnets... I can use this to pick up all kinds of metal shavings, grinding dust, etc, and then switch the magnet off and it all falls off (ideally into a trashcan or similar, as long as I'm above it when I turn the magnet off!) leaving behind a clean magnet that's ready to use again with the twist of a wrist! It's exceptionally useful when trying to line up precision joints- turn the magnet off, adjust parts freely, then turn the magnet back on and lock it all in place to weld it together!

I was looking forward to this multi angle, and when it arrived and I opened the package, I was surprised. First, it was loose in the Amazon shipping box, no manufacture packaging; the shipping air packs had "burst during transit; there was no paper work of any kind: no bolt for the ground wire, nothing but the multi angle. And, most importantly, the product description says it has holding force of 150 pounds. It is more like 30 or 40 at best. I did manage to use it for some welding, but would not buy another...there has to be better ones, or this was a defective one, used and re-shipped. I have also bought 2 mini square magswitchs, and they work as "advertised".

Cooles Teil Der Magnet ist wirklich komplett abschaltbar, 99,9% von allen matallspänen fällt ab. Dann noch einmal kurz auf die Werkbank klopfen und das Teil ist wieder sauber. Ideal für kleinere teile in Position zu halten. Für schwere Eisenträger oder ähnliches ist der Magnet aber zu schwach.

El producto bien ya tenía el modelo más grande Y necesitaba unos más pequeños para cuando trabajo fuera del taller la verdad es que son muy útiles
