Not sure as the switch is a sealed unit.

Can this be used to make a hard wired wall lamp in to a plug in one?

Yes it can b hard wired just for a plug That's exactly what I did ....u need to drill a small pilot hole ( at the bottom ...then a Biggar hole for the cable ...)just make sure u use electrian tape and tape the earth cable coming from yr 3core wire/plug as the light wiring is only 2core ... Appart from that it's very easy to do ...works excellent...Good luck

will this cable fit a old standard lamp with a screw top fitting, I think perhaps 1/2 inch? Thank you

Replacment 3 Core wire for Metal lamp

The purchase is to rewire a imitation oil light as it had been rewired by somebody unknown with 2 core wire instead of the correct 3 core i.e. with earth.This is a requirement for metal electrical objects.The purchased 3 core wire is a Gold colour to blend with the Brass lamp
