ruined several of my mandrels.
This stuff sucks. Should've taken the other reviews more seriously, don't buy it, I'm returning it.Flaky nonsense. I followed the directions to the letter, tried several other strategies, used it on several different tools, and got about four very small beads out of it, all with flakes of this crap trapped in. "Medium strength" my foot, if you actually manage to get glass on it intact, anything bigger or more complicated that a 5mm round is going to come loose and fall off hot or adhere to the mandrel.Seller should discontinue the product or get their manufacturing in order because this is a rip off. Just get kiln wash.

Doesn't work
Don't know if maybe I got a bad batch. Cleaned my mandrel, scuffed, tried one coat, two, three, flakes right off in the flame.Air dried, heat dried, waited a minute, an hour, a day, it's just junk.

Garbage
Disappointed with Bead ReleaseI recently tried using this bead release, and I must say, it was a frustrating experience. The product was incredibly difficult to apply evenly, and it often ended up clumping on my mandrels. Even after following the instructions to the letter, the bead release would crack and flake off during the bead-making process, causing my beads to stick to the mandrels. This resulted in several ruined beads and a lot of wasted time.Additionally, the bead release took forever to dry, and even when it seemed dry, it would still flake off when exposed to the flame. I also noticed that it left a rough texture on my beads, which was very difficult to clean off. Overall, this product did not meet my expectations, and I would not recommend it to other bead makers.

This is not the best bead release on the market.
This bead release dries within a few hours after dipping the mandrel, doesn't work well with flame drying. Once dried and put into the flame it still has a problem cracking if not heated very slowly. If one makes it through the initial heating process it will still crack if the glass puts any pressure on it, as often occurs with the initial application of glass onto the mandrel, also as sometimes spontaneously occurs with large beads or beads which require holding into and out of the flame to add dots or ribbons of glass. It doesn't do well trying to build it up to two layers, which creates more risk of cracking. And with one layer it often creates a 'sticky bead' situation where the bead binds the mandrel, very difficult to remove. That can sometimes be remedied by a few minutes in the freezer and a pair of pliers but often ends with a cracked bead. I have a fairly large collection of hatpins where the beads just wouldn't come off but were too pretty to just break so as to re-use mandrels. It is better than nothing, which is how I arrived at rating it at three stars rather than one star. Although I didn't get it from Amazon I paid full price for it and have tried more than one bottle of it before coming to the conclusion that it is not as good as several competing brands. This is not a reimbursed review.

This cracks once dry
I had major issues using this product. It came out very thin when I first tried it. I left the cover off for a couple hours for it to thicken. It didn’t matter. when I put the mandrill Over the flame it cracks. If I did get some glass on there, it would come right off the mandrel and stick to my glass. I had to throw away several beads because the release just stuck to the melted glass. I will not use again.
