Typhoon Otto Black Compost Caddy 2.5 Litre

This caddy is great. I recently bought a composter to reduce the amount of food waste I put out for recycling as I though it would be great to make my own compost for the garden. I now have two bins. This one which is great for all the peelings and vegetable waste. It means that only a tiny amount of food waste not gets picked up by the council. The bin looks tidy and inside there is both a filter to avoid any smells getting into the house and also a plastic bin with a handle making it easy to take to the composter. Overall this is a great little caddy that looks good and allow me to help the planet just a little.

Very sturdy and stylish, the inner basket is a little difficult to take out though I use liner bags.

This is a lovely little caddy, it matches my kitchen. Looks great. Used daily for small waste that I probably wouldn't have bothered to recycle.

Looks good in the kitchen unlike the more plastic ones - I like that there is a plastic inside to make it easy to keep clean

After reading so may reviews about missing lids I decided to go ahead and buy one knowing that I could return it to Amazon. Mine came with a lid, but there was only one of the two stated filters so I contacted Amazon who said it may be better to contact Rayware so I did and their customer service is abysmal they replied "Thank you for contacting Rayware with your enquiry Rayware and Amazon are individual companies. Rayware are the manufacturer and do not sell directly to the public. As Amazon are your retailer please contact them directly" Yes Amazon are the retailer, but one would have thought the manufacturer would care about their public perception, but they don't. Don't buy anything that they manufacture, they simply don't care.

It's as sturdy bin but quite small hence the 3 stars.

Bought this to replace an old plastic kitchen waste bin after having my kitchen renewed. Looks smart, and fits in well with kitchen decor. Doesn't hold as much as the old bin but that's no problem. Although they provide a filter to go in the lid, I found that some smell still emitted through the holes in the lid. This was solved by putting a plastic lid inside to block the holes, then inserting the filter. The inner bucket can sometimes be a bit fiddly to remove as the handle gets caught, but on the whole, I'm quite happy with my purchase.
