Can both floats be set to high water detection?

Remove the float ball that detects low water level and change direction to detect high water level.

Is there a low battery alert?

No there is no low battery alert. The sound will be weak to non-existent. You shold check it every few months.

What are the sensor dimensions: float diameter and rod's length?

About 2.5" long, Float approximately.75" diameter about .5" float travel. I am using these as high water bilge sensors on my boat. Work great.

Are there recommended clips that would work for swimming pool?

Dear customer, Our detector only detects the water level. When the water level drops or rises to the position where the float ball is placed, it will sound an alarm.
