Worth every penny
Absolutely love this thing, I've broken so many hand shovels transplanting plants, usually when I leverage the shovel agents the ground to get that first clump out. This thing doesn't give a rats ass how hard or rocky etc the "soil" is, and it's not even a full tang. I'm buying another one or two as a backups if I lose or break one.

Love this!
I use this for all sorts of jobs in the garden and yard and I love the functionality. Other brands may work as well, I don’t know, but I love this tool!

NJP6510 and 650 comparison
The media could not be loaded. I wanted a snap case so I bought the NJP76510. Already had the original NJP650 in the household. There are differences in the handles. The original feels more comfortable to me as the newer has more of a square feel and is about 5/8” longer. Blades are identical.Removing and inserting the tool into the plastic case requires a little practice. There are instructions printed on the case. If you want a case that is harder to extract the tool than this may be a better option. I posted pictures and a video. If you are trying to decide which of the two to buy you should watch the video. My daughter owns and has used the original for sometime. I asked her to feel the new version and she said it felt fine. The squareness didn’t bother her. She like that the knife secures in the case as an extra safety measure around curious hands.

Looks like a useful tool
I am anxious to use this as soon as spring comes. I hand weed my perennial bed and come across lots of plants that need dividing. This looks like it's sturdy, strong, sharp, and will do the trick. I don't think I would wear it on the belt though; too clumsy. I like that it has its own sheath for protection.

Forget your trowel!
This tool is incredible! I may never use a conventional trowel again, and I am an avid gardener. Give it a try, it is well worth it. Great for pulling weeds and everything you need while working in the beds. Very sturdy, looks like it will last. The case is very sturdy but it is hard to get it out and get the case onto your belt, so I just pull it out and take it everywhere with me and then put it in the case when I am done. Great tool!

great tool for the yard
I bought 2 when they were on sale, based on all the positive reviews. I have to agree that this is a great tool, with the sharp edges digging in to get to the root of those annoying weeds, making removal a breeze. The only (slightly) negative thing I have to say is that the plastic sheath is uncomfortable to wear, and falls off if I'm not careful. Since I'm climbing around on a 40 degree hillside slope while trying to weed, it's not ideal to wear it at my waist, but as long as I can carry it around or tie it to my belt loop, it is TOTALLY worth the price, even if I throw away the sheath. I'd buy two more if I could get it on sale again, since my family fights over who gets to use this tool!
