I guess a shouldn't knock off one star just because I wish I had bought the model with the shoulder strap, but this briefcase form-factor is more problematic than I thought. First, the case is well built and very protective, no complaints about the quality. It fits my Framework 13 laptop well, even though it's not a precise fit. Zippers are good, and pockets are big enough for essentials. But the design is caught in-between use cases in a no-man's land. It's too bulky to easily fit inside a backpack like a sleeve would. But without a shoulder strap, it's annoying to have to hold with the handle as a standalone bag. I wish it had a way to attach it to my rollaboard suitcase, but there's no way to slot it in place.

Got this for my MacBook and I love it! I love the pockets in the front where I keep the mouse pad and charger. The inside is lined and keeps my laptop safe. The handle is very sturdy and feels very nice to grip.

Got a new laptop, so clearly needed a new bag! My last bag was a Tomtoc, so I started my search there for this one. The two zipper pockets are great for holding the power cord, AirPods, pens, small notepad, etc. The pouch on the back holds a 10 inch iPad and legal pad. My older one had a full zipper opening (opened to lay flat) with a hook/loop strap, which was nice, but if you didn’t zip it fully I always worried my laptop would fall out. This one is open only in the end, making the laptop more secure. The inside is soft and padded, protecting my laptop, and the leather handle is very comfortable and very secure.My last two bags have been black or grey, but this brown/black color scheme is very classy. At just a glance, it sets my laptop apart from the others in my household.

For some reason when I bought this case I thought the corners would have some kind of hard reenforcing material in them. It doesn't have that. But the edge is padded well, and the overall build quality is nice. My laptop fits in snuggly. Between that and the shell on my laptop I feel its pretty well protected. The two front pockets are nice and have a good amount of space. plenty of room for your charger and some other things.

I've had this case for over 2 years and absolutely love it. In fact, so much so, that I bought 2 more for my sons' laptops. We all own the LG Gram 16" 2-in-1 laptop.Let me start by saying that it is very hard to find a laptop case that opens/unzips at the top when placed in a VERTICAL/portrait position/orientation (i.e., like a piece of 8x11 notebook paper) AND only unzips enough to slide a laptop in. The padding on this softshell case is sufficient to protect a laptop placed in a backpack and thrown around as backpacks frequently are.The benefits of a VERTICAL orientation case that only unzips partially is that ...1. You don't have to take the case out of your backpack to remove the laptop. You can easily slide your laptop in and out of the case without ever removing the case from your backpack.2. You don't have to zip and unzip the case either, and your laptop is still protected.3. With only a partial unzip case (unlike many others that fully unzip so that the case can lay flat like a binder) there isn't the risk of your laptop accidentally falling out. It also makes it easy to quickly take your laptop in and out of the case.4. The individual side zip pockets easily hold the charging cord, a mouse, as well as other items.I bought and returned MANY laptop cases before I found this one. It is definitely my favorite. And it was one of the lower priced ones. There are cases out there that provide more protection, but I wasn't looking for a case to protect my laptop from being dropped from a third story window or being run over by a car. I wanted a case that would protect my laptop when it was placed inside my backpack and was easy to take my laptop in and out. This case fit the bill for me.
