NEEDONE 43L (300 Count) Humidor Cabinet w/Heating and Cooling
I had been wanting another humidor because I was running out of room in my 100-125 count desktop-type. Read all I could about all the various humidors -- electric, cooled, heated/cooled, non-electric standard units. Decided I wanted one that’s heated and cooled, based on the climate in our area. Shopped around, read lots of reviews & "best of" lists & I watched numerous videos from numerous brands. Settled in on the NeedOne 48L/300 count, heated/cooled unit. If you’re shopping around, be careful because some models may only have the cooling feature, so check to make sure what you're looking at and what you need, before you buy.I’ve had the NeedOne 48L since beginning of April. I wiped down the interior as per instructions with a damp towel using distilled water, and I detected no off-smells from the interior. Then I got it set up for seasoning. NOTE – there is a drain at the back center of the bottom in the cabinet. You have to drop a little bit of distilled water into the drain in order to create a water trap so humidity won’t escape. Otherwise, you’ll be chasing the humidity non-stop. I allowed at least two weeks, maybe a little more, for seasoning even though the instructions & some reviews say it can be less than that. I tested the accuracy of the included digital hygrometer using the “salt slurry/brine” method. It was close but not exact, so I may replace it at some point soon with one of the “smart hygrometers” out there. So far, the humidor itself is working great. I have about 180 cigars in it, give or take, and they’re of various types & mfr's. It's doing a nice job of keeping them at a very steady 69-71% humidity level and 70-degree temp. Both humidity & temp vary slightly from the top shelf to the bottom of the case, but that's to be expected with any humidor like this, except possibly the ultra-super-expensive ones. Currently I use Boveda packs (69%), but I’m also researching alternatives for that -- something like a compact electric auto-humidity control system. Since I’m using the Boveda packs, I don’t normally use the little water tray included with the unit. I did use the water tray while the seasoning was going on. However, now I only use the tray if I add a decent amount of new cigars to the humidor. And that’s only to help augment the Bovedas and make sure the humidity is stable with the newly added cigars. After a few days, I’ll pull the water tray out again. Humidity levels have remained very stable. As far as how I store the cigars in the humidor – some are kept loose; some are in their cellophane wrappers; others are in their original boxes. I’ve not noticed any appreciable difference in any of the cigars regardless of how they are stored in this humidor. This 43L model comes with (1) cedar slatted "bin" and (3) flat cedar slatted shelves. I purchased an additional cedar “bin” so I have (2) bins & (3) flat shelves in use right now. I like the added “bin” for increased storage, with less chance of cigars falling out or rolling off the flat shelves. At some time, I may order another “bin” and eliminate a shelf or two. Why? I just like the utility/versatility of the cedar “bins.”I do notice that since I've had this unit, which is only about 2-months, my cigars smoke much better, taste much better & burn much better and more evenly than when I kept them in my old desktop humidor. I think the key has to be the stable temp, the even air circulation and better humidity environment. One last thing – Overall for this review, I highly recommend the NeedOne 43L heating/cooling humidor. If you’re wanting to upgrade, do your homework of course, but give consideration to the NeedOne line up.

Does not hold humidity
Can't hold humidity.I have a humidifier in the unit, water, humidity packs, everything i can think of.Unless I spray the wood cannot get humidity above 55%, and I live in florida where the ambient humidity in my house is 70%?!?!?!This unit is useless for humidity specific applications. IE cigars, wine, cheese.

Great unit, good capacity
I looked for a long time for a smaller humidor before I decided on this one. I don’t know that it would hold 300 cigars unless I really jammed them in, but for my rotating stock between 75 and 120, it’s perfect. Also, I used some leftover cedar trays to hold my cigars so they wouldn’t roll around. Otherwise, the temp is rock-solid, and the humidity retention is perfect. It gives off a quiet, unobtrusive hum, and it looks really sharp. For the price and as my first humidor after being in tuppers for years, I’m really thrilled. Just always to one size bigger than you think you need!

Not worth buying
I receive this humidor very nice looking. I prepared it by seasoning the Spanish cedar like instructed and followed all the instructions. However, this humidor is a waste of money, the fan does not work, which does not humidifier my cigars. My cigars are very hard.

Nice! Humidor!
The only thing I take care of is the humidity. The temperature is taken care of by the humidor itself.I have 2 of these now. They work great! Take care of them and clean them from time to time. Make sure the vents are cleaned off and the fans are running fine.

Great for a cheesecave, though hygrometer was broken out of the box
I got this as a cheese cave and after seasoning, I've been able to keep a stable 84rh humity. That was my big concern and it's done a fantastic job at keeping it stable. It has another slot for a tray, so if you are like me and want more cheese to store, I'd get the extra tray. The trays fit the standard cheese mold size fine with room to breath. The only down side was the Hygrometer (humidity reader) didn't work out of the box. I put in batteries and the lights didn't come on and it just started to heat up really hot. I looked for a return of the part, but had to return all of it to get it replaced. AKA support doesn't seem great through amazon but I guess the company has a warranty. That said, I'd still recommend buying and getting another hygrometer (you can get like 6 for US$7) if you are concerned with it working out of the box.Overall, it's a great deal and operates as mentioned, beyond the hygrometer.

Audew and NEEDONE (sub-brand) - Too many issues - Don't buy!
I would not trust this product or any Audew product. I have owned the original Audew model which I purchased here on Amazon. Since my purchase the company has pulled their Audew branded humidors and substituted with NEEDONE. Doesn't matter, because the company won't stand behind their products. Plenty of complaints on Reddit. Here is the email response I received from Audew:"We found that this order may be placed on Amazon. For the order on this platform, we are sorry that we cannot find any info about the order. And we suggest you can contact the agent from the store who sold you the item as a third party to get more help."The seller no longer exists so how is a customer supposed to get an answer?I would NOT BUY THIS OR ANY PRODUCT FROM AUDEW OR NEEDONE. It may or may not last very long and if you have any trouble, there is no support so you're on your own and/or its a wasted purchase.
