The Sony WH-1000XM6(beautiful name btw) has come to show the rest of the headphones who is king. Ive been using these cans for a few days and that was all it took to blow my mind, dang near perfect!Pros:-Really comfortable-30hr battery life is more than enough-ANC & Ambient mode is the best I've tried, period-Sound quality is chefs kiss( Clear and hard EQ is were these shine)-The case is more compact and magnetic-The App is very good and allows great customization and EQ-FoldableCons:-The charging cable is tiny and its usb-a- Some very mild distortion… if you are BLASTING your music(as any headphone will if you push it like that)- Hate how much i love these(lol)Coming from reviewing the ULT field 3 speaker, Sony delivered their best in these headphones, proving that they can do better in any department.Another thing that impressed me(and my wallet) was the new $448 price tag, witch that is considered an investment, and i think its a great one if you want the best ANC and all the great features on the market, in my opinion these are worth it.If you have the previous XM5, i would consider upgrading if they are wearing down or your hinge broke as that was their major issue. The XM6 sound better, have better ANC and ambient mode, feel more premium all around, especially the hinges.Sony, you got me hooked on these headphones and they might just get you hooked on them to, i am heavily considering keeping these as they are giving my daily drivers (Beats Studio Pro) a hard time, outperforming them in almost all areas.Keep it up Sony!

-Noise CancellingThey have taken the noise canceling to the next level. I have sensitive ears and i did notice a buzzing tones sometimes in the previous versions.. none of that so far with this iteration.-Hinges and headbandWe'll see how hinges go, but band is insanely flexible and the hinges do seem more reliable because of this. There is some clamping force, but its not uncomfortable.. just snug.-EarpadsEar pads seem comfy, but i do feel my ears against the insides a little. I'll be looking for 3rd party replacement ear pads that are thicker for sure. Positive note, i was able to easily pull off the ear cup without a tool to check the serial number for product registration.-PC useIf you are using with PC, make sure to set your EQ with the phone sound connect app. Also, you can use paid A2DP app to use LDAC (higher quality audio) on pc. Latency is pretty high for this so only for listening unless you use LE (lc3) mode which said to be supported but my bluetooth is too old for it - Don't expect to be competitive pc gaming with these on.

Got this literally the next day it came out. I have been using my Xm3s for the longest time (5 years to be exact) and haven't been catching up on the latest headphones. So, when I heard about the Xm6s, I thought that it would be a decent time to upgrade.Now, the sound quality itself is amazing compared to the Xm3s which is obvious for sure. I was completely surprised at the noise cancelation and how much better it was and also how the app allowed for auto ambient noise too! In addition, I wear glasses all the time and it's actually very comfortable to wear for me during my study time! Overall, I'm satisfied with my purchase but I won't lie and say that the $449 price is cheap. It is a very hefty ask but you won't be disappointed in this!Edit: If you are worried about the hinges breaking, don't. The hinges are metal on the Xm6s and Sony solved a major issue that previous generations were suffering.

Hands down easily the best headphones I’ve ever used.It sits super comfortably on my head, with very little pressure. I could sit for hours with no problem. The bass is super responsive, mids and highs crispy, there’s nothing else you’d want in headphones nowadays. And these have so much more to give.The noise cancelling shuts off noisy neighbors and loud cars like it’s nothing without adding lots of pressure on the ears. I didn’t even notice I had it turned on until almost a half hour into listening because it’s so flawlessly smooth.Honestly so much can be done with em that I can’t write it all in a review. It’s just leagues better than the other items at the same price point.

Was in the market for a premium set of noise cancelling headphones. I am completely embedded into the Apple Ecosystem (iPhone, iPad, MacBook Pro). Got the Max, then few days later these came out. Decided to dedicate a few hours and test out both with music, YouTube, podcasts, etc and I can confirm that I will be returning the more expensive Apple AirPods Max for these. Here's a few reasons why.1. These are SO LIGHT. Like I said earlier, I have both in my hand as I type this and my wife and I both can obviously feel how much lighter these are in-hand, and especially on your head.2. Less clamp on glasses - Both my wife and I wear glasses and the AirPods Max clamp onto your head like a leech. To the point that they make my glasses feel pressed against my temples and they hurt after like 45 min of doing anything.3. Charging/Magnetic case - In 2025 not having a power button on the AirPods Max is a joke. Come on apple do better.4. Better battery life - These things don't die. Watching YouTube, listening to high-fidelity music, just cancelling out noise.5. Price - these are $100 cheaper, not including AppleCare which is even more expensive. $100 is a $100.5. Everything else - I would say the ANC, multi-device pairing, looks, are all equally/on-par with the max.TLDR: Save $100 and just get these instead of the AirPods Max.
