When you put the lid on the unit, the glass lid has a tight, rubber ring all around the edge of the glass. So, when youput the lid on the unit; you don't hear the glass make contact. The rubber ring goes firmly on the unit. No sound. It also makes a very tight fit and won't move around. It is really nice. I like that. I guess I should have measured for this 14-inch pan . . . . because I was pleasantly surprised when I received it. It is much bigger than I thought. I have plenty of room inside this pan. Love it. Works very well. Heats fast. Heats evenly. Easy to clean. I am very glad that I bought it. It is well worth the money.

I would say great for small living, but this thing is huge! Came nicely packaged and seems to be good quality! Did a great job on my dinner! Love it

I have only had this a year. I have not used it frequently but always liked size, the color, and the way it cooked. However tonight the temperature control piece that plugs into the skillet started smelling like rubber burning. It happened quite suddenly. We were keeping a close eye and whole house smoked. I’m not completely sure what’s wrong but it’s no longer usable. It did not cause a fire thank goodness but the control that plugs into the skillet and plug to wall both were extremely hot. This is the first time that happened.I’m sad because I loved this electric skillet:(

I love this electric skillet. I can make a lot of tacos all at once, I can make a big portion all at once. Easy to use, cleanup and it’s not too big. Temperature control is great. Love the design and color. I ended up buying 4 more for Christmas gifts. I definitely will buy another for my self and/or as a gift. Price was perfect. Totally recommend this item.👌 👍🏻

While it cooks beautifully and the interior is very easy to clean, this thing is a monster to handle. You need a very large and deep sink, which I have, but it is not submersible. Hence, you have to be very careful about splashing the underside and the part where the plug fits in. Then you have to carefully clean the outside without any water dripping. As for cooking, it seems to cook evenly, but there aren’t any temperature increments, so that’s a guessing game. However, if you are cooking for a very large family, these things would be a minor detail. This would have been a 5 star rating if it weren’t for the items I mentioned. But for me, it’s just too big. Would like to see this in a smaller version for those of us not feeding a football team. Too bad I got rid of the box, because I would definitely return.

I purchased this to do large quantity meal prep, and while the size is what I am looking for the quality is terrible.Lid: lid doesn't have a permanent seal, it's a rubber gasket that is removable, and no matter how much you fiddle with it, the lid never makes an even seal.Lid stand: poorly designed, cheap, flimsy, easily falls overHandles: poor quality plastic super flimsy under the vessels own weight. Haven't had mine long and a handle already brokeHeating element: terrible performance, does not get hot. Well, it does right at the plug source, but the distribution is awful. The only place that gets hot is the very center, or right at the plug. The heating element is two wires that run into an inner circle and a semi outer circle. If you put scrambled eggs in, you can see the outline of the element easily, and see it's poor heat distribution.On top of that, the center isn't flat, if you put scrambled eggs in for example, they run to the edges because the center is raised, right where the main cooking point of it is, so the eggs don't cook well. The edges do not get hot even on high.It's impossible to cook something evenly in this, due to its poor, awful element design.I'd recommend looking for an alternative.

We've been using our skillet for several months now, and overall, it's performed well. The surface area is very handy, and the non-stick coating seems effective. There are two engineering flaws that I would caution against.First, the surface does a poor job of distributing the heat from the elements. The further an item is from the center of the surface, the less heat it receives. Depending on the dish, it can seem significant.Second, and perhaps more importantly, both the heating element and the cooking surface are secured by only a single, centered screw on the underside of the unit. No matter how tight the screw is, the entire internal structure attempts to rotate around that screw--including the heating element and connector. In some of the negative reviews, there have been complaints about shorts causing the plug to fuse to the unit. I am confident that this design flaw is the cause. While the large, circular design is nice, the mounting need not be at the center. I believe a better design would be three mounting screws on the bottom to provide better safety.If the cooking surface were thicker and more efficient heat conductors and the element mounting issue were corrected, this would transform it from a decent product into a great one.
