My New Favorite Sculpting Medium
I don't think making props, mask, etc is ever going to be the same for me. I found Aves products through an online acquaintance that does vulture culture crafts and the like. Though it was a different product they used, I opted to buy something I thought would be more durable. This stuff kicks butt.I have been making cosplays as a hobby for nearly 8 years and I wish I had heard about this stuff sooner. The mask shown was cast by someone else, but I wanted alterations to it. The alterations I made with fixit added no significant weight, dried well, and held detail so well that I'll probably have to look into getting finer tools! The company that makes this product also releases tutorials on their youtube channel, showing the variety of ways it can be used. Also also, it sticks to practically anything.I tried painting the mask shortly after and the spots with fixit actually took to paint far better than the original cast material.A product definitely worth a crafter's time.

Worked great for antler repair
The media could not be loaded. Worked great to repair the main beam of the right side of the antlers. Deer was hit by a car, breaking off the right main beam just past the G2 tine. I replaced the main beam, G3 and crab claw end of the main beam. When repairing this much antler, I would do it in 2 stages, a base layer and let it harden, then a second final layer. I mixed it all and had to use it all in one step-it was too much epoxy and ended up sagging, but still looks great at a distance. A single tine repair should be fine in one step, I just bit off too much for my trial run.

Completely Impressed
Recently, I acquired several ceramic Christmas trees. The oldest is from 1966 and was made by my grandmother. One of the branches had broken off over the years and it had numerous small chips. For a professional to repair, it would have costed hundreds of dollars. So, I started to research how I could repair it myself.I stumbled on this product, compared it to several others and decided to purchase. I am so glad I did. It was the perfect solution. Please keep in mind I have no sculpting experience whatsoever so the shaping is less than perfect and considering I am a novice at best, I am thrilled with the outcome. The putty was easy to use. It was easy to mix (make sure to use equal parts). I actually mixed way more than I needed. I used a little cup of water to help shape once I got the putty in place and quickly cleaned up any excess with just water.I was afraid that it wouldn’t bond to the old ceramic or the repair wouldn’t be strong enough and was shocked to discover neither was true. It bonded very well and the repair is rock solid. If I had more sculpting experience, I could have shaped and molded it better and added grooves into it to match the original but I was just happy with “getting it close.”Once this was complete, I used the putty again to fix the smaller chips on this and two other trees. It is truly a great product.

Excellent product with great adhesion!
Loved the Sand color and texture. I am using it to adhere wood sticks to a wood panel without falling off.

Solid and sandible
Great product, short shelf life. One part was gross by the time I opened the package (3 months after arrival). I mixed it up by hand, and it bonded with the other part well afterwards.Just like working clay! had a pot life of 2 hours working in Wisconsin summer, but says 3-4. I'm sure you can still work it some after 2 hours, but that's all I got out of it; which worked very well for filling in holes of resin cast sculptures! A little went a long way!It dries solid and can be sanded!!!

great modeling clay
I used fixit sculpt to model a figure over a foil armature. the epoxy kneaded well. Just takes a while to get both parts kneaded together thoroughly. once you knead them together you have several hours to get your clay where you want it before it cures. it sculpts well with sculpting tools and I was able to take my time and detail my figure as much as I could. I am satisfied with my purchase. its only 1 lb of modeling clay so if you have a sizable job, for the price, you might want to look into a cheaper buy. but if money isn't an issue. once this clay cures its like rock. and there is no need for a furnace or application of heat.

So easy!
There was a crack on a sculpture I bought so I got this product hoping to repair it and it worked beautifully. It's easy to work with and very easy to adhere to surfaces of sculpture.
