I ordered this gasket to add to my current gasket on my wood stove as it was not sealing properly. Easty to apply and did the job!

I was able to install in around the glass on the inside of the metal
The description could have been better. This is just a glass door gasket. You have to remove the plate and then put it in. It is not for the seal for the actual door on the pellet stove. It was a bit confusing. I took it off, purchased the correct one and put it on the door and this one on the GLASS! The problem I have with this seller/product is that the rope/gasket was short 3-4 inches. I felt cheated, twice. I had to get the job done so I used it anyway, but it was not cool to cheat the customers. The description says a certain length and we were expecting that. I will need to do the door again and I don't have those extra inches to do another window /door glass replacement.

Works well with my old fireplace doors
I used this to stop drafts from our old doors. It was easy to install and works perfectly. I did not put over the magnets and after snugging the doors in I find it does not interfere with the doors staying shut

NOT for use in GAS FIREPLACES!!
EXTREME chemical/toxic smell when heated. Bought this gasket as a replacement for my gas fireplace that runs on a thermostat. It's been on a lot due to lower temps and the whole house reeks because the blower kicks on and disperses the heat and the stench. It's been a week and there's still a terrible smell whenever the fireplace is on. I should have read reviews more closely before buying this as there were some reviewers with this same issue.UPDATE: After contacting the seller, they say this product is not meant to be used in a gas fireplace. This is not clear in the product description, but trust me, if you are looking to replace the gasket on a gas fireplace, DO NOT USE THIS ONE!I have requested that the seller make this info clear in the listing so others don't make this purchase if they are looking for a replacement gasket for the glass on a gas fireplace.
