Worked great for 4WD 2000 Chevy S10
Recently acquired an old 2000 Chevy S10 LS (4WD) and soon after I found myself with the ABS light stuck on, the speedometer not working at all, and it would not shift into higher gears (limp mode). Swapped this part out in less than 10 minutes and noticed the ABS light stayed on at first. Drove out of my driveway and noticed the speedometer was now working correctly and within seconds I guess it registered back to the truck computer and the ABS light kicked off. Everything is working great now. Much better price than what a local auto parts store had it for. The sales guy saw the price and actually recommended I purchase on Amazon if I was not in a hurry. The part appeared to be high quality matching the old in appearance of the build. I think these are pretty straight forward. Had to wait a few days but worth it to me for almost $80 in savings compared to the local auto parts store.

It worked!
it fell within the time frame that was given for delivery but not on the short end.It was the right part and upon installing on the left/drivers side of the Jimmy's transfercase the vehicles speedometer worked and the vehicle once again shifted correctly.

Great Value & It Fixed the Problem!
Purchased this VSS for my 96 Chevy S10 LS 4x4, w/ 6cyl, 4.3L automatic. Prior to installing, the transmission seemed to be slipping and would not change gears or when it did it would be a hard shift. Check engine lights and ABS lights were coming on and speedometer had stopped working all due to a bad VSS. Removed and installed this VSS in less than 15 minutes with 1" socket (long depth). It immediately solved the transmission issue, solved the issue with the warning lights and speedometer. It's not the name brand OEM parts which are 4x the price. My truck is a work truck that I only use to run to Home Depot / Lowes in on the weekends and less than 1,000 miles a year. We will see how it lasts. None the less a quick fix, saved money and overall a great value!

Fixed speedometer and not shifting problem
97 Tahoe sporadically would not shift into 3 and overdrive along with speedometer inoperative. Replaced this in about 10 minutes and problem solved.
