Q: Does this work on windows 10

Yes it worked on my pc which has windows 10.

Q: What size jpeg can it convert to ie 600x800 ?

The images I captured of 35mm slides in the standard (native for the sensor) 5MP mode are 2736 x 1824 pixels. In the '10MP interpolation' mode they are 3888 x 2588 pixels. I did not find that the picture quality was better in the 10MP mode so did not use it. The images can be re-sized after transfer to a PC using any of the free image resizer tools that are available.

Hi, It produces .jpg files on an SD car formatted to FAT32 or connects directly to the PV via a USB / MSDC cable. A bit old fashioned now but then, so are the slides!

No problem with card mounted slides. The only plastic mounted slides (Boots?) I had from 60s/70s were fairly slim and these were OK. I certainly found the capability to scan to SD card was beneficial enabling the scanner to be used in any convenient tabletop location. This made sessions very much easier and quicker, with slides taken from boxes or file folios which could be placed handily alongside.
