We needed screw-fix and these are screw. We’ve never tried to get hold of bayonet.

What holder do you use for this?

Ceramic bulb holder made especially for these bulbs because they get so hot.

How hot does this lamp get ??

The lamp itself gets very hot, but transmitted heat is perfect for tortoise basking at a range of about 15 inches 38cm.

So far as I know there is no guarantee on these bulbs, I am told by someone who has used these bulbs for his reptiles that they will not last more than 12 months max., considering how specialised these bulbs are I think it is still worth the money to warm up our cold blooded friends.
