Guess which one is OEM and which one is not....
Side by side comparison of the OEM key vs the Amazon key.... Enough said. The metal part is swappable just like 'Sparky McGee' said in his review. The only thing that is slightly different is the red color which is slightly darker, which I didn't notice until I put them side by side for the photo. Now you know which one is OEM and which one is the Amazon key case. IMHO - That is not even close enough of a good reason to deduct any stars. Everything from the OEM key fits absolutely PERFECT in the new case. So if you're looking to replace your Ranger Rover key remote case, you've found the right one here.

Simple to deconstruct and assemble in New case
Was easy to assemble. Found a video online. You can reuse your original key also. I took all the parts from my original fob to include the key and put in this shell. Great replacement.

Its impossible to separate the sides, terrible product.
Terrible product, we were unable to open/separate the sides no matter what. It needs to be sold in two pieces separated, else no one will be able to pry it open.

Solid replacement
Just as good as the original and cheaper than OEM. Back up key holder and battery cover are also made of metal.

Pry bottom off top
open both metal sides, remove battery, then pry back off main body of key - seam is at back face. just pops apart. as others have said, transfer at least the key side. other side optional but might as well xfer both so wear is same. PCB just rests inside, minimal prying.and, as others have said, should have done this a while ago.

WOW!
I bought a spare key fob from the dealer for $422.00. 2 years later it started to come unglued and dirty. It was embarrassing. They didn't want to give me a new one. I found this item on Amazon and gave it a go. NOT DISAPPOINTED! It took me about 15 minutes after watching a YouTube vid. You can even put your original range rover sides back in! Sweet...
