Great System
I am very pleased with this item. I mounted the wind sensor on a 1" diameter stick of conduit, and hung the temperature/humidity sensor under a porch awning. Watching the wind speed change on the home display is fascinating, and it's fun watching the wind sensor wheel spin around outdoors. I had a bit of trouble connecting to the Internet, which isn't necessary for use, so I called technical support who was extremely helpful, and we were able to get that working also. I didn't know Internet connectivity was even included, but now I can see the windspeed, indoor & outdoor temperature, and indoor & outdoor humidity, on my cell phone from anywhere. My only concern, is that my last system of same brand (no Internet feature) only lasted a year before the wind sensor stopped providing data to the home display unit. I was able to reconnect once, but that was it, so I replaced it with this new system.

Great buy for the price point
Bought the La Crosse Technology V21-WTH unit about 3 weeks ago and it is working perfectly so far. Had some crazy weather for this area and all the functions reported properly. The accuracy of temp and humidity appears to be consistent. As compared to a separate wireless thermometer the readings pair consistently. Setup was a bit tricky getting the weather station to pair with my iPhone. Had to go to their web site for problem solving. Quickly found the fix and all good from there. The display has several brightness settings from off to high and clarity/readability are good. The anemometer is mounted @ 50 feet straight line of site from the base unit atop the rear fence. The temp/humidity sensor about 25 feet away protected by the patio cover. No signal issues as these sensors have much further range especially if unobstructed. Will take time to figure out how long the 2 size C batteries for the anemometer last before needing replacement. I've seen a post that suggests it's in the 3 month range but that was in some sub-zero weather.

Pretty good weather monitoring
I had an older device I am upgrading from, this new kit includes a wind speed sensor which I was interested in. Otherwise the temperature, humidity and other features were very similar to what I had before. One more difference is this kit allows some WiFi connectivity and an app for some smart functionality.Let's start with the setup, finding the right place to put the wind sensor is important. You don't want it to be obstructed by any walls or obstacles for best accuracy. You do want it to not be difficult to reach in order to change the 2x C batteries it uses (not sure how long they'll last). I was hoping to mount this on the corner of my roof but the included bracket only had 90deg increments and it doesn't have a long enough bend to reach around the edge of the roofing, and even if it did, it'd be stuck at an odd angle due to lack of adjustment. So I settled on a secondary location which isn't as ideal but does give some readings.Setting up the WiFi / App was not too bad, you will need your phone's camera to scan the back of the main display unit and will need to enter in a code from the back as well. Once it's paired up in the app you need to connect your phone to the devices temporary wifi to continue the setup. The WiFi reception in the main unit wasn't great so I'd recommend setting it up in the same room as your wifi router or close to it. I think you can then move it further away later but distance may be an issue. Once I got it connected it's been fairly reliable. The readability of the display and other features work as advertised. The batteries in the main unit kept the settings after I set it up and unplugged it to move it around. Overall it seems to be working well.

Expensive and poor performance
Setup is easy enough - just follow the instructions to the letter. Make sure you use your 2.4 ghz band on your phone and router network. Now, for the functionality. It's ridiculous. The wifi is constantly lost on the base unit which makes the app useless. When it works, I found the anenometer inaccurate. Indoor and outdoor temps and humidity seem good. The app itself is poorly done and a popup constantly asks if you like it. If the app worked as consistently as the popup maybe it would be better but this station is not ready for prime time and gives Lacrosse a bad name. And for the high price, I'd buy something else.

Perfect data
Very precise data. The anemometer works perfectly. Family loves having the weather available in the kitchen.

La Crosse Technology - Excellent Weather Products
This is the second Base Station display that I have had. The first one was broken when the cat knocked it off the shelf.I was so happy to see this unit at Amazon I had to have it.Battery Life is not a problem for the Base Station and the "C" cell batteries for the wind gauge have a very long life.Base Station - Display, Color, and Brightness are excellent.

Good unit. Tying into WiFi is nearly impossible
WARNINGThe wifi "pairing" was nearly impossible. I was minutes away from returning the item. The software, LaCross View, was primitive, perhaps designed by a 14 yo boy. They could have done so much better. The product itself is excellent. If you can get the software installed it works as promised.
