Reliable UPS Battery Backup & Surge Protectors
We bought two UPS Battery Backup & Surge Protectors and installed them near our desktop computers to ensure they do not switch off when electricity goes off. They are easily set up, work very well, are quite silent, look good. We are very happy with the purchase and will buy again in the future.

Does what it says on the tin and works with Home Assistant 👍
I was looking for a small and relatively cheap UPS that would interface with Home Assistant. This ticked all the boxes in terms of size and power.I have this connected this powering my Synology NAS DS218+, a 16 port TP link switch and a Gmtek G2 NUC running Home Assistant.Initially I connected the UPS to the NAS via the included USB cable and the Synology detect the NAS but always read the battery charge at 100%. Not ideal. So I connected the USB cable to the NUC running Home Assistant and added the Network UPS Tools add-on (not the integration, that comes later). In the devices part of the config for the add-on, I used:- name: myupsdriver: blazer_usbport: autoconfig:- vendorid = 0001- productid = 0000- desc = "MEC0003"- protocol = megatecOnce the NUTS server add-on is running, I added the NUTS client integration under Devices & Services to monitor the UPS and connected locally (tip the host is always a0d7b954-nut).Once running, HA can monitor the battery charge level, so I created an automation that monitors the charge level and when the UPS is on battery. If the battery charge drops below 60% I send a command to the Synology NAS to shutdown.I've run some tests and even running a NAS, 16 port switch and NUC, the SKE UPS was only at 8% load and easily ran for 30 minutes and still have 56%.You can mute the beep at the push of a button.Recommended if around £70 at the time of buying.

Easy to wire up.
Easy to wire up but the suggested software is only really appropriate if you are attaching a laptop or desktop. I am using it as backup power supply following change to digital voice for router, phone and fibre system.

Great UPS for consumer items
Great little UPS, perfect for keeping my router, Nas and switch powered on, I have regular power drop offs so this is ideal, has worked flawlessly so far!

Faulty batch of units
This is the second unit I have purchased and both have the same fault. The battery and temperature sensors are not working. This indicates that all the units Amazon have are faulty

UPS OK - software for control poor.
The UPS seems to work OK, but the software that comes with it is antique at best. Not only this, but it does not work correctly as it will not display the battery information. I have followed the instructions and re-installed without success. Without the battery information it is not possible to set up the control correctly - other than an immediate shutdown.

Unreakable power that just works
Already tested and worked perfect after our coffee machine tripped the power

Very easy and functional UPS
I've set this up to run my Plex server, router and Philips Hue hub when we have a power cut so I don't lose broadband or control of my internal local devices.Installed with the software and setup to shut down my Plex server when ups power is low.Tested several times when I was turning off breakers in the fuse box and changing plug sockets, and it worked a treat.Really happy with this UPS
