Q: Key covers?. I want to program and lable the keys.. Do the covers come with the keyboard or is that a separate purchase? Like the accessory kit?

Covers come with the keyboard, but only enough for the default layout. If you want to add more 2x1 buttons, or 2x2, you will need the accessory kit.

Q: What key switches does it use? Also, what software is needed to program the keys?

The software is called Cherry Tools and you can download it from their site. It’s easy to use.
